Glad I Didn't Buy This, March 19, 2011
This review is from: 1000 Home Based Business Ideas: Innovative Small Business Ideas For The Home Based Entrepreneur (Paperback)
I am glad I did not buy this book; I borrowed it from the library. I am thinking about getting out of working for "the man." I thought this book might inspire in coming up with a great idea. Yes, there were certainly things I did not consider, however, there was probably a reason for this. For example, one idea was to become an escort to accompany out of town visitors. Um, while escorts could be used in a purely non-sexual context, I am not all that sure how typical this is.
The book is somewhat repetitive. Common themes for a home business included:
* Writing a newsletter
* Creating a something of the month/week club (scarves, roses, etc)
* Recording an audio CD
* Recording a viewable DVD
* Starting a mail order business
* Writing a manual
* Making clothing and selling it at a "stall"
* Selling things door to door
Honestly, I skimmed the book and maybe thought five of the ideas were doable and they borderline on "unique;" creating doorstops, bookmarks, and posters.

Would not purchase again, June 16, 2010
This review is from: 1000 Home Based Business Ideas: Innovative Small Business Ideas For The Home Based Entrepreneur (Paperback)
This book is o.k. It has a few good ideas. I purchased it for two reasons: 1. It was written in 2010 thinking the ideas would be very up to date. 2. 1000 ideas would give me several leads to go on. The author does have 1000 ideas, but I found some were very close to other ideas listed. Other than some typo's it is very easy to read and understand the author's thoughts on each idea listed.
