1000 (+) Patterns: In 4, 6 & 8 Harness Shadow Weave
Marian Powell
"Shadow weave is one of the lesser known weaves. To understand the idea behind it, visualize a simple twill or overshot pattern in your mind. Let it be a dark color. Now make room between each dark thread for a light thread to form a "shadow" of the dark thread. Voila -- Shadow Weave. The author shows the Atwater method of drafting Shadow Weave, but then uses her own system of drafting exclusively, which many people find more complicated than the Atwater system. The profile, threading and treadling is shown for each pattern as is a small photo illustrating the pattern. This book is suitable only for very experienced weavers. Over 1000 illustrations. "

I will never tire of the shadow weaves in this book. Besides, I can figure out how to make more with the instructions in this book.
