5.0 out of 5 stars Tremendous meditative compilation!, June 28, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: 1000 World Prayers (Paperback)
This book is a compilation of prayers and meditations attributed to traditional spiritual leaders, as well as contemporary writers. It covers a vast expanse of religious and spiritual narratives and is organized by topic to support specific needs. It may also be used as a planning resource for spiritual events, and is particularly helpful for interfaith activities.

The book itself, while a paperback, is well-bound with a high quality glossy paper and clean typeset. The TOC is based on topic and covers five major subjet areas - God, Times and Seasons, Changing Scenes of Life, World and Society, and the Natural World. The Index provides background on the contributors as well as other references.

I had to smile with each entry read - I believe there are many surprises and comforts hidden in this gem of a book. Clearly a sign of our connectedness and diversity in this human family.
