Mediocre- but with some good entries, August 25, 2006
This review is from: 1001 Great One Liners (Mass Market Paperback)
I am holding in my hand a book called '1001 Great One- Liners' published by Signet Books. The author is listed as Jeff Rovin and not as above, Gene Walden. I am assuming that Signet did not publish two books with the same title, so that there is a mistake in regard to the Author.
Whoever he is here is what I have to say about his selection.
It is mediocre. There are occasional good and funny one- liners but a lot of it is trite, vulgar and meaningless.
Here however are a few examples from the 'not bad' category.
The Eskimos are called , 'God's frozen people'.
The only thing that becomes easier as you get old , is getting tired.
People have been able to improve on everything, but people.
