I wanted to like this book. It's a great size for carrying around to dip into. However, I'd say about a third, or maybe more, I haven't counted, are anonymous. Here's an example: "Life is filled with possibilities" p31. Now I don't know about you, but I'd hardly class that as great stuff from great minds. Then I read "Decide what is worthwhile and follow through with it" and I'm beginning to yawn. When I came to "Above all, life should be fun" and "Always keep a window open in your mind for new ideas" and I'm just about ready to throw the book into the garbage. Also, the format of the book is terrible. Someone decided to put every quote into a little frame, so you get four quotes on a page.

Still, for the price, it's not that bad. No, on second thoughts it's pretty dire. There's just too many pathetic jingles in here for me, which only motivate me to demand a refund! If I were you, I'd save my money and put it towards something else - "The Book of Positive Quotations" has 7000 quotes and I wouldn't be without my copy.

I bought this book, as I often do, on the basis of the gushing reviews. The quotes themselves are wide-ranging and varied, and do live up to their promise of motivation to a degree, maybe not to the extent promised by the author: "Don't wait another day, achieve success TODAY!!!".

I would have preferred if the quotes were grouped into some sort of chapters or themes, rather than randomly listed. Shallow as it may seem, I found the layout and design quite unattractive, which matters to me in a book that you should want to handle often.

Not everybody is self-motivated and often times we don't have the time to read an entire book in one sitting. Tom Vilord's 1001 Motivational Quotes for Success is perfect for those times where you need a few quick "shots in the arm". What is most impressive is his collection of quotes from some of the greatest writers, philosopers and business titans. Even Tom Vilord himself has quite a few original quotes you can benefit from. I strongly suggest you buy the book for you and a friend. It will be the best [money] you ever spent.

This book sits by my computer and helps get me going when I'm not in the mood to do my work or write my next newsletter article. The book focuses on success quotes, but it's much more than that. A very nice addition to the junior wealth-builder's bookshelf.

I love to read motivational books, Tim Robbins is one of my favorites and after reading this one, Thomas Vilord is being added to that list!!!. What an inspirational book. I don't want to sound like everyone else but, after you read a few pages of this book you can't help but be motivated and inspired to do just about anything. When I need it, this one really picks me up and helps me move along. Thanks!!!!

I am an avid reader of motivational books, and this one is my new favorite. What an inspirational book. After you read a few pages of this book you will be motivated and inspired that you will feel like you can do ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING. This book will give you the positive thoughts to help you achieve all the success that you want. I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars.

This book has a great format, and a huge collection of quotes. The author did a nice job at putting together an attractive little quote book. This makes for a very nice little coffee table book. Perfect for any quote lover out there.

I love quotes. I waited 3 weeks for this book to arrive, anticipating "great stuff from great minds." When it finally arrived, I eagerly flipped through the pages and wondered what the heck I'd done. About the half the quotes are anonymous and uninspiring. Every other quote seems to be from Anthony Robbins. (So why didn't I just buy one of Robbins' books instead?) Many of the quotes are from the bible or some evangelist on TV. Hardly any quotes from women. This book was NOT what I thought it was. Oh, well. Like they say, "Live and learn!"

This is an amazing motivational quote book. I manage over 100 employees and I do public speaking ever week. I use the quotes in this book to rally the troops and as a motivational speaker I always throw in a few quotes from Mr. Vilord's book. It truely is motivational.

A great way to start the day off on a positve note is to open up the book, read a quote or two, and then go conquer the world!!!
