4.0 out of 5 stars Great book. My husband and I enjoyed it.
My husband and I read this book together, It took longer than expected because we stoped several times to put to use what we were learning. the book contains many great and interesting interviews with women to compile this intimate listing of brief sexual encounters and tips. it truly states what women want most from a sexual relationship. It's humorous and fun to read...

All people are different, we like different things. This book is 1001 little quotes from different women. Some like this, some like that. If you're really out of touch, get it. Otherwise you won't read more than a couple of pages.

2.0 out of 5 stars 1001 Trite Expressions, January 29, 2001
By
This review is from: 1001 Sex Secrets Every Man Should Know (Paperback)

If you buy this book, make sure you know exactly what it is. It is a simple list of 1001 BRIEF anecdotes, three per page. Some are only two or three words long, and many seem obvious, stupid, trite, or otherwise useless. One of the reviews says: "It contains numerous interviews with different women about what they really want and expect from sexual relationships." I feel this implies much more depth than the book really has -- while the author may have interviewed women, we only get short anectdotes. Here are some examples from flipping through the book:

#978 Big penis = lousy lover
#485 No burping or farting in bed
#286 Foot massages
#829 Turn off the television, please

To be fair, they aren't all his bad. And if you read them all perhaps you will pick up a couple gems that relate to you. But very few are insightful. Just be sure you know what you are getting into before you purchase this book. Don't expect anything more than a coffee table book of anecdotes. I would have much rather had interview transcripts (or at least excerpts more than one sentence long). For me this book was a very cheap mistake. I am giving it two stars because I found it slightly interesting to browse through, even if the info wasn't very useful or practical.

I read this to see just what they should know about us (I'm female) and was a little disappointed. Apparently almost nothing! The book for women was a little more informative, although a guy might not think so.

I just finished reading this book and I really enjoyed it. It contains numerous interviews with different women about what they really want and expect from sexual relationships. This book doesn't contain any earth shattering information, but it is interesting and makes for good reading material.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT BOOK, December 12, 2000
This review is from: 1001 Sex Secrets Every Man Should Know (Paperback)
Great reading material. I'm no rookie when it comes to sex, I thought I pretty much knew everything there was to know about the female anatomy, but this book was definately an eye opener. A friend of mine had it laying around, I read it and now I'm ready to try out what I got out of this book. The author, has interviewed numerous women to compile this intimate listing of brief sexual anecdotes and thoughts about what women really want most from a sexual relationship. It's quite explicit. I enjoyed reading it.

I enjoyed reading this book. I found it to be both interesting and educational. This book includes interviews with many different women and it gets in detail as to what women really want. My boyfriend is no rookie, but after reading this book with me, he is certainly able to ROCK MY WORLD!. It's worth reading.

This was a good book. The writing structure was good and easy to follow. It contains many interviews with different women who share their experiences and what they enjoy from their sexual relationships. This book offers good tips. I really enjoyed reading it and so did my boyfriend.

4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable collection of entertaining sex quotes from women., October 29, 2009
This review is from: 1001 Sex Secrets Every Man Should Know (Paperback)
It is obvious this book was created for amusment and entertainment rather than to educate men in real sex secrets. Nevertheless, it does show the wide variety of interests and desires that women regard as important sexually. In this respect, it is a text that clearly shows how each woman is a little different when it comes to what they regard as sexy or erotic. Many of the quotes are one-liners. For a small example, "Treat my breasts with love." "Foot massages." "I have got two words on the subject--whipped cream." "More oral sex." "I like my lovers to share their fantasies with me."

In conclusion, this is a fun book to read but do not expect to be an expert at sex after reading all the quotes.

Rating: 4 Stars for fun value. Joseph J. Truncale
