Comment: This book has already been well loved by someone else and that love shows. It MIGHT have highlighting, underlining, be missing a dust jacket, or SLIGHT water damage, but over-all itâ?TMs still a good book at a great price! (if it is supposed to contain a CD or access code, that may be missing)

I intend to keep this in my car as we drive about the state. I'm always curious about how some places got their names. It's fairly inclusive but how could they leave out Borger, the town that was named for Ace Borger? Ace Borger who was shot dead in front of the post office by a political rival. And what about Mobeetie? There's a name that needs to be explained. I'm talking about Old Mobeetie, not New Mobeetie. Still, I'll find it useful.

Very interesting and informative. I often wondered where some of the weird place names came from. Good reference book for any library.
