5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkable resource
We just sold our townhouse using many of Mark Nash's tips. His top-notch advice really made a difference, and the book is worth every penny.

2.0 out of 5 stars less than expected
The book had some good tips, but I feel like there was a lot of advice that I was looking for that I didn't get--like pros and cons of selling by owner vs. with an agent and searching on your own vs. getting a buyer agent--just as an example. If I had been able to preview it before I bought it, I wouldn't have bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1001 Tips for Buying & Selling a Home, May 1, 2006
This review is from: 1001 Tips for Buying & Selling a Home (Paperback)
Our house had been going nowhere in a stagnant market for nearly 10 months. After incorporating Mr. Nash's "tips" into our selling process, the house really took off, despite a difficult seller's market. By following his suggestions and reworking our marketing plan, we had the house sold and closed in a month and a half. Mr. Nash saved us the on-going drama of double mortgage payments! K. This is a great help in understanding the very confusing world of real estate transactions. Mark Nash's book is invaluable to new buyers but will keep repeat buyers up to snuff on information that changes rapidly in this market. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid costly finacial mistakes by learning about the most important investment most of us will ever make. I wish I had this book 25 years ago-I'm be retired now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Diving into the real estate market - Buy this book, May 30, 2006
This review is from: 1001 Tips for Buying & Selling a Home (Paperback)
I had a house. I had been through the buying process once already - did I really need this book? Yes, yes, definitely yes. This book highlighted 1) everything I had forgotten about the process of buying a home, 2) everything I didn't know the first time about buying a home, and 3) everything I needed to know about selling my most valuable asset. I was flabbergasted by the amount of information in this book and the excellent way in which it is organized. It guides you through the entire process, but makes it easy to jump to the issue that is most troubling at the moment. It provides information from the basics: Tip #227 - "Take your time. Do not let anyone rush you" to the more complex: Tip #556 Compare the benefits of working with a mortgage broker or mortgage banker". I did not even know there was a difference! This book is a font of information in an easy to read format - I do not know how I survived without it the first time around. I can only chalk it up to luck considering how much I did not know before I read this book. I recommend it to all my friends.

This review is from: 1001 Tips for Buying & Selling a Home (Paperback)
This book was EXTREMELY helpful to me! Not only does it answer all of the questions I had as well as all of the questions I never even thought to ask, but it does so in a manner that would be easily understood by every type of buyer or seller; first-time or experienced buyers and sellers can all benefit from Mark's wisdom!

Finally a straight forward book that gives great tips and insight on selling and buying homes. All of the pieces of the process that Mr. Nash describes and details in his book are valuable. Too often we take home buying and selling too personal and he makes us step back and give real thought through the easy to read guide book.
