5.0 out of 5 stars Makes paying for college seem less like a chore!, August 25, 2008
By
Stanford Alum (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 1001 Ways to Pay for College: Practical Strategies to Make Any College Affordable (Paperback)
This book is easy to digest because the information is presented in short, easy to read and easy to follow nuggets. The tips are very useful and give a lot of great ideas on how to pay for college including scholarships, financial aid, tax savings, saving for college and saving money while you're in college. The authors present some creative ways on how to pay for college that I never would have thought of on my own. A lot of other books are very dense, difficult to read and, quite frankly, boring. This book takes the bore out of paying for college!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of ideas, December 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I liked this one - lots of ideas in it to get you thinking about how to cut your education costs. Sometimes I felt the idea was kind of thinly researched because they'd say something like, 'You can do this in California, so check and see if it works in your state.' I would have preferred to see a few more examples sometimes. But despite that, there really were a lot of good ideas. So I felt this was a useful book and would recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars review of 1001 ways to pay for college, July 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: 1001 Ways to Pay for College: Practical Strategies to Make Any College Affordable (Paperback)
So far the book is fine. However, I was looking for more unusual ways to get funds for college. Many of the ideas we had already tried. However, we are still using it as a reference and guide, hoping our efforts pay off.
