Not so great...,

Basically if you have books by Wayne D. Barlowe you can pretty much skip this book. The author should stick with vehicle design, which he is excellent at. You won't waste money from the author's other book, Car Design: Futuristic Concept. But for this book... Mr. Palma tries to imitate Barlowe in many works, and he somewhat fails. Truth be told, a great vehicle designer doesn't necessarily make a great creature designer. Even Scott Robertson fails to deliver convincing creature design, and his specialty is in...guess what, designing futuristic vehicles.
