About the Author

Michael E. Angier is the founder and CIO (Chief Inspiration Officer) of SuccessNet based in South Burlington, Vermont USA. He’s a father, husband, writer, speaker, entrepreneur, coach and student. He's also the creator of The World Class Business™ Conference.

He’s the publisher and editor of Success Strategies™—a publication of ideas, information and inspiration. He is also the author of Strategies for Success, and his forthcoming book, The Ten Pillars of a World Class Business.

Michael's work has been featured in numerous publications such as USA Today, Selling Power, Home Business Magazine, Opportunity World, Personal Excellence and Sales & Marketing Excellence as well as dozens of electronic publications. He's been interviewed on both TV and radio.

Mr. Angier has experienced personal and professional success, but he’s also suffered bitter defeat. Although certainly preferring the former, he feels that he’s learned the most from his struggles and disappointments. He feels that life’s greatest lessons are learned by overcoming the obstacles in the path of a challenging and worthwhile objective.

Michael’s passion is human potential. He believes fervently in the indomitable human spirit and revels in helping people succeed in all aspects of their lives.

As a child, he started reading biographies of famous people and was fascinated by their lives and their contributions to the world. Over the past 25 years, Michael has devoted himself to the science of individual achievement and has been an ardent student of the principles of success. He’s taught seminars and conducted workshops on goal setting, motivation and personal development in four countries.

His vision for SuccessNet is to be the largest (one million plus) and most respected online community for personal and professional development.

He sees a worldwide association of success-minded, high-integrity people who want not only their own success, but want to help others to achieve their potential as well. He believes, "We teach best what we need to learn," and by promoting and teaching success principles we will effect a greater success and a better future for ourselves and our families.

Mr. Angier is a positive and optimistic man. He views the next few decades as a time of unparalleled change and incredible opportunity. He sees "high-tech" merging with "high-touch" in a way that could allow for personal and spiritual transformation to seem almost magical. He sees science and spirituality as complementary.

Michael has a deep faith and belief in a Higher Power and Presence, which he chooses to call God. He feels that there are three things essential to living a fulfilling and successful life: a purpose to live for, a self to live with and a faith to live by.

Michael is married to Dawn Angier—his partner, best friend, mentor, teacher, student and confidante. They live in South Burlington, Vermont and have six children ranging in age from 13 to 33. They also help support their adopted daughter, Tonisha, in the Dominican Republic. Michael enjoys sailing, tennis, traveling, reading and helping people realize their dreams.

101 Best Ways To Get Ahead: Solid Gold Advice from 101 of the World's Most Successful People is an anthology of valuable tips, tricks and insights from famous, wealthy, and powerful individuals, from Tony Blair to Laura Bush, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Tiger Woods and many more. Topics covered range from business and career (sample subject heading for a collection of advice quips: "Do what you love and love what you do") to relationships ("Use written agreements" and "Hang out with the right people"), health ("Get plenty of rest"), spirituality ("Be, Do, Have - Not Do Have, Be") and much more. 5.0 out of 5 stars A purely enjoyable read, February 15, 2005
I purchased this book with the intention of reading a few chapters here and there over a week or so. It turns out that I read it in just 2 sittings. It is well written, and Michael Angier has assembled a tremendous collection of great and fascinating insights by some remarkable people.

The book is also well edited and never gets tedious or vague. An enjoyable read that will force you to reach just a little higher than you might on your own.

Thanks for writing this book!
