Some Decent Selections But Could've Been Much Better / Some Track List Artists Are Incorrect,
By
This review is from: 101 Driving Songs (Audio CD)
This is supposed to be a compilation of 101 DRIVING SONGS! Sotell me....why are Nat King Cole and a few others represented here...but nary one road jam from The Cars or Green Day or The Doors? There are a few high-octane standard road jam jewels in this eclectic compilation like Golden Earring's "Radar Love" & Deep Purple's Highway Star...but way too much boring filler was included here like the Beach Boys and others. Don't get me wrong...I like Nat king Cole and also the Beach Boys too for that matter...but these are not the kind of jams that I would've wanted to have included in an album of truly great DRIVING SONGS! Definately NOT worth the money in my opinion! Save your $65 and burn your own Great Road Jams Compilations. Here's a much more accurate track list for these CD's: Disc 1 01. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen 02. Rockstar - Nickelback 03. Gimme All Your Lovin' - ZZ Top 04. I Drove All Night - Roy Orbison 05. Road to Hell, Pt. 2 - Chris Rea 06. Here I Go Again '87 - Whitesnake 07. Something a Little Different,

I picked this up at a cd shop in Gatwick Airport as I was about to leave London for home. I only paid $ 13 pounds (about $ 20) and I find it has a nice mix of well known songs blended in with lesser known but still good songs...not sure I would call them all Road Songs but I do enjoy it. Worth the used price but I'd never pay $ 65 for it

I have been working on a 60's,70's and 80's rock collection so I bought this because it contained music from all three decades. Not suprisingly, I discovered a few songs on it that I knew and liked but didn't know from the title.(always very nice) Now I realize that everybody pays different prices for these CD's but I figured out that I paid 8 1/2 cents per song for this collection! Even if you don't like half the songs on this it's still less than 20 cents per song. Transfer quality seems to be as good as most of these "101" collections. Oh Yes, All original recordings, no cover bands.

This is well worth buying simply for the fact there at least 40- 50 good songs within all 5 CDs. Pretty good value considering so I'd definitely recommend it!

An Interesting Mix,

This CD has songs from the 50's all the way up to today. There weren't a lot of obscure or unfamiliar songs either, and that made this a good buy for me. I would definitely recommend it. The music spans all different genres, so it would be good for lots of music fans.
