Dating ideas & thoughts on relationships abound!,
By A Customer
This review is from: 101 Great Dates (Paperback)
I found this book to be refreshing and easy-to-read. To make a date successful, you have to get a little creative and spontaneous at times. An example given in the book: Have your own drive-in movie by putting a TV/VCR on your hood. Park in the driveway (or wherever),pop some popcorn and have a good time. Dave and Diane also interject some useful and hilarious information throughout. Check out the pick-up lines, especially! I'm going to keep this book on my living room table to pick up the next time I revert to my old, boring dating habits!

I struggle to find any good things to say...,

{What follows is my explanation for such a "high" 3 point rating} Perhaps because I was looking for realistic dating ideas instead of fanciful, corny and old-fashioned suggestions do I feel so negatively about this book--the fact that these two authors got this published is worth one rating point. If you've been dating someone for a long time who you know is comfortable with being wacky and can put up with nonsense, maybe, just maybe, you might be able to cull one or two useable ideas from this travesty of "information" (okay, maybe this is worth one rating point). The brainstorming list at the end of the 101 "great" ideas is actually better than the 101 features that precede it and might be of some use, even though its actually restated generalizations of the specific, ridiculous 101 (it's a stretch, but there's the explanation for the third and final rating point that I gave it). [Want an example? Here are some headings from the 101: "Who, Me...Juggle?", "College Campus Visit" and "Parental/Grandparental Double Date" (it even says if you're lucky they might pick up the tab - how nice).]
