This is a great book- both for the family and for school groups. This is the perfect time of year to get your kids outside, and this book is full of great ideas, projects and ways to both entertain and teach kids.Our school district has ordered one for each school,and each grade has their own project going.Every time we open it, we find another great concept. Ms. Krezel has really created a new way of presenting ecology, horticulture and just plain fun to children of all ages.

Even very young kids can really enjoy planting, feeding and nurturing their own plants. They learn about Nature's mysteries and miracles as well as its beauty. In an increasingly cerebral and "cyber" world, gardening brings everyone closer to the earth - - and the closer we are to it, the more likely we are to take care of it.
