God's word was originally spoken in the distant past, however, it remains a sure and strong anchor in troubled times and soothes the tormented heart and mind. Many of us have familiar verses we turn to time and again, ones that are so well worn that we seldom reach for others. Most everyone in trying times clings to Romans 8 28, but the verse just two prior to that one is equally powerful. Psalm 23 is perhaps the most familiar of David's words, but the fourth Psalm comforts as well. You will see this as you turn the pages of this mighty little book.

**** 101 Promises is set up in a style perfect for daily devotions, but don't feel bound to that formula. Keep it handy for anytime you feel in need of comfort and hope but don't want to just blindly reach into the Book. ****

My accountablity partner and I decided to keep a journal based on God's promises in our lives. I set out of find a book that would help me find all of the biblical promises. There are a lot of books our there but this one is the best. It not only lists the promise but it also gives you a real world synopsis for each. I absolutely love it. My accountablity partner loved mine so much I gave it to her and ordered a 2nd one. Well worth it!

I had the opportunity to meet Marcia Ford in person, and because I was so impressed by her demeanor, I decided to order her books. I choose this book to read first. Saying the very least- I was inspired and feed by her genuine and real feelings for the Lord and how he flowed through her. She has a vast knowledge of scripture. I am recommending this book to others, as it is along with my bible a daily inspiration to grow closer to the Lord.
