A wonderful book for those in relationship or out, pet lover or not. Being a cat lover, and having read many similar types of books, I had cetain expectations. I was far more delighted than I expected while reading this book. It reads easily, but no so lightweight as to be uninteresting. Some situations were very recognizable and brought contemplative thought. I enjoyed the various levels of humor: from belly-clutching out-loud laughter, to tongue-in-cheek giggles to simple smiles. For me, while reading it, I always had a smile, even as I reached over to ruffle my husband's hair as I pushed him over to make room for Munice, my Maine Coon cat. If you need some comic relief in your life, I recommend you read this book 101 Reasons to Dump Your Man and Get a Cat and find the reasons that might have you heading to the animal shelter or cattery.
