I wish that I'd had this book when I took the exam, but its a great reference tool still afterwards as well. The problems and solutions are in separate sections so you can work them without having seen the solution first. That is a detriment to using it for a reference book, but is great for preparing for the exam.

Taking a big exam like this can be unnerving if you don't know what to expect. This book will give you a good idea of what to expect from the PE Exam. I did some sample problems from the book for a couple of saturdays before the test to get back into "test" mode. That was a great help. The book also gives you an idea what you need to study. After all you aren't going to re-read all your college text books. By the way... I passed first time.

What a great resource to have while you're taking the test. Some of the problems in this book were very similar to those on the exam. I'd highly recommend this book, whether it's your first time taking the PE or you've taken it a few times, this book will help it be your last!

Problems are not of similar time requirements, but are useful excercises for early review.

The problems in this book are gennerally harder compared to CERM practice problems and the NCEES practice problems. The edition I got (3rd edition) is not in the multiple choice format... so you cannot reverse engineer your way to the question. Their are also a couple of variables that are assummed (that you would not expect)on certain practice problems. But in general good practice on the methodology and approach
