5.0 out of 5 stars God can't do some things!
I purchased this item as a companion to the book 101 Things the devil can't do. The title does entice you since we are always told that God can do anything. But once you start reading it, you realize that God is amazing enough that He can't do some things like break a promise or lie to us etc. Great book that I use when working with my Jr High students.

1.0 out of 5 stars Easy to misinterpret
Many statements in this book are true according to scripture. However, some are not true if it's a non-believer reading it. Some of God's promises are made to specific people in the Bible and some are made only to those who obey. Some of these statements from God come with CONDITIONS, and some of the statements in this book are just not true. EX: #39 states God can't be...

This review is from: 101 Things God Can't Do (Paperback)
Many statements in this book are true according to scripture. However, some are not true if it's a non-believer reading it. Some of God's promises are made to specific people in the Bible and some are made only to those who obey. Some of these statements from God come with CONDITIONS, and some of the statements in this book are just not true. EX: #39 states God can't be second in your life....yes He can be. Even believers can set up idols, placing other things/people ahead of God. His command is that we not have other gods before Him, but that doesn't mean He can't be 2nd in our life. Another example: A beliver chooses to go along with friends rather than stand for righteousness. In such a case, God would not be first in their life...the opinion of their friends means more than God's. And, oftentimes God is second or third or further down in our lives, but with repentance we can restore God's place as number one in our lives. To be more accurate, this book needs to clarify the statements and explain the conditions, or else, those statements that do have conditions need to be removed.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this book!, August 5, 2002
This review is from: 101 Things God Can't Do (Paperback)
I love this book so much that I bought 20 copies and gave them away to people who want to know more about God and who He is! There is no way to not learn about God, His love for us, and our relationship with Him by reading this book. Even if you think you know God pretty well, this book will teach you a thing or two.

I'd gladly buy 20 more copies and I know people would snatch them up!
