Eliza Cross is the author of five books, including her most recent cookbook "101 Things To Do With Bacon" (Gibbs Smith, 2011).

She is co-author of "The Rusty Parrot Cookbook" (Gibbs Smith, 2009), and author of "Family Home of the New West" (Northland Publishing, 2006) and the award-winning "Food Lovers' Guide to Colorado" (Morris Book Publishing, 2003 and 2006).

Her articles have appeared in numerous publications including Parents, Writers' Digest and Natural Home. She is a regular contributor to Mountain Living magazine, and Senior Contributing Editor for Western Art & Architecture magazine.

You must try the Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies--how can you go wrong combining these two most important food groups? The salty sweet combo of crispy crunchy bacon bits with the sweet chocolate chips are perfect, and those I shared them with loved them. Also recommend the Bacon Dutch Apple Pancake and the Bacon Crackers, and am looking forward to trying other tempting recipes in this collection.

If you want to start a fun conversation, bring up bacon! Everyone has a favorite recipe ; basic or wild. And bacon s getting a bigger buzz than ever.
Have a look at the Maple Bacon Waffles, page 22. Oh yum! My hubby loved as much as I did. And see page 93 for Better Bacon Green Bean Casserole. You will never use the old style recipe again for the holidays.
I gave these (inexpensive) books as gifts with a coupon for bacon. So great.

I bought this book as a joke for my boyfriend and it is a cool book. It was cheap so I didn't mind spending the money on it especially for what we got. I would recommend this book as a gift for someone who loves bacon as much as some people in my family do.
