I have been a vegetarian for over 30 years. I needed some new inspiration!
I have looked at & bought many "new" vegetarian cookbooks. Many seem to think one's life revolves around making a meal that takes special ingredients, gadgets, cookware & time to produce. ...Please.
I need more work week, tasty meals that appeal to the regular every day family. Not to say there are no special recipes in this book, there are a number of them. However, I love this book because for the most part, I have the ingredients in my pantry or can pick them up at the regular super market.

If you have a vegetarian in the family or just want to add tofu to your diet this book goes a long way to help you get started and makes it quite easy. It includes everything from main dishes to desserts.

I got this book from our library's interlibrary loan system so that I could see what it looked like before buying it. The recipes are excellent and look very delicious, but if you don't tolerate dairy this book may not work well for you. It has a lot of cheese, yogurt, sour cream, and even wheat products in the recipes. So if you can tolerate such and just want a change of menu with tofu in it, then this book will be wonderful for you.

If you have allergies or food sensitivities of any kind then you probably could find a better book that works with the types of food substitutes needed for such a need.

For the recipes that are "safe" for a food sensitivity issue, this book still looks good. I am glad that I got a chance to try out some of the recipes as I do believe real food cooking is the healthiest. For those of us who know what substitutes can be used in place of traditional dairy and gluten foods, this book would still work. It is still the reason that I buy and look at regular type cookbooks as many people don't know the substitutes. If you know the substitutes, you can buy any cook book and use it well. Cheers to the author for writing such wonderful delicious recipes.
