An Alaskan Citizen Who Is Not In Favor Of $arah,
By Alaskan Reader "Alaskan Reader" (Anchorage, AK United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 101 Things You - and John McCain - Didn't Know about Sarah Palin (Paperback)
Yes, the entire book is mindless drivel. But that is what $arah Palin is. She ran for governor proclaiming an open and transparent government. The first day in office she went behind closed doors with the oil companies. She conducted state business on an untraceable Yahoo email account.
THE ONLY THING OPEN AND TRANSPARENT ABOUT $ARAH PALIN IS THE SPACE BETWEEN HER EARS. She is an embarrasement to women, the citizens of Alaska, and any human being with a brain. The book may sound stupid and hokey but every bit of it is unfortunately true. The book is spot on!

It is so refreshing when the mindless lunacy of these sorts of people can be woven into such a funny read. It's also frightening... people actually believe these sorts of people are good. It's terrifying.

Thought this book might have something important to say. It doesn't. Just a white trash book report looking for a good laugh. I'm an Obama supporter and still found the book foolish and annoying.

I dont know what is funnier, the book or the offended people writing reviews of this book they never read. Obviously, they "cant handle the truth"---and dont understand that this is a humor book, as well.` Isnt it great to be able to read a book that kills two birds with one stone?

This review is from: 101 Things You - and John McCain - Didn't Know about Sarah Palin (Paperback)
Just when you thought you knew all the silly, quirky and sometimes disturbing tidbits about Sarah Palin, someone goes and digs up more. Filled with fabulous and thought provoking (well...sorta) quotes, Sarah Stats and information more obscure than the town she governs, this book is hilariously entertaining. A quick and easy read with lots of comedic fodder for later chats with republicans and/or democrats--101 Things You--and John McCain Didn't Know About Sarah Palin is a definite must read.

Interesting how absolutely EVERYONE is looking to make a buck off of Gov. Sarah Palin. More mindless drivel from main stream media. Don't waste your money.

This is a worthless, offensive, juvenile book. The author thinks he's funny. He isn't. There's nothing in this book to justify spending anything, let alone the full price.

This review is from: 101 Things You - and John McCain - Didn't Know about Sarah Palin (Paperback)
I have ordered this book, but I feel I can make a valid comment on it just from what the description says. I quote:
"#10 Sarah Palin supports funding for abstinence-only programs in schools. Just call her Grandma." This, like the other three "facts" listed, is not a secret. So the title already says something that is obviously false: that I (and McCain) didn't know about these things. These things were public knowledge at the time she accepted the vice presidential nomination, for cryin' out loud! As a grandmother, I can tell you that just because you teach your children abstinence doesn't mean they will follow your teaching. They have minds of their own. To condemn parents for what they DIDN'T teach is ridiculous. It would do well for this writer to see how leftist policies have undermined parental teaching in the schools, and do something about it. Palin advocates doing the thing that works: teaching abstinence. And her own daughter has publicly vindicated her mother. What's more important is the way in which Sarah welcomed her grandson in spite of the circumstances. That is a good example to us all. In other words, the writer is being mean spirited. "#22 "First Dude" Todd Palin, aka Sarah's husband, works for British Petroleum. Maybe he can bring gas prices down for good." And the writer's point is? This is questioning the integrity of both of them, without basis. In spite of this sideswipe, Sarah took on Big Oil and cut them down to size. That's far more important. In other words, the writer is being mean spirited. "#55 Sarah Palin's future son-in-law Levi Johnston is a self-proclaimed 'f-king redneck.' 'First Grandbaby' Billy Bob Johnston?" That's just plain libel. It shows the prejudice of the writer; he makes fun of people commonly called "rednecks". Why? What's the purpose of needlessly cutting down others? In other words, the writer is being mean spirited. "#100 In 2007, Sarah Palin offered $150 to every hunter who hacked off the left foreleg of a wolf shot from a plane. Talk about wolves being thrown, uh, to the wolves." The fact that Palin wanted to reduce the wolf population is also well known. Perhaps the writer would do well to live in Alaska for awhile. There are times when the balance of nature needs to be restored, and like it or not, human beings are the designated stewards that have to do this. If there are too many wolves, their prey will be decimated, and wolves will starve for lack of prey. What a lot of environmentalists don't seem to understand is that human beings are part of the ecology, and we are expected to restore the balance of nature when that is needed. Our role is important. Sometimes the choices we have to make are not pleasant ones. But obviously, some environmentalists would like to accord animals the same rights as humans, and perhaps the writer has bought into this. Human beings are qualitatively different. When a wolf passes the bar exam and can defend another wolf in court, then I'll seriously consider giving them equal rights. Until then, please keep in mind that being killed quickly is a lot more pleasant than starvation. Obviously, Sarah took her responsibility to manage the wilderness seriously, and wasn't afraid to do what she felt was right. In other words, the writer is being mean spirited. I learned a very important lesson from my husband. Never make fun of people. Find some other way to make your point. Personal attacks are despicable. But unfortunately, being unable to argue the issues, this kind of mean spirited attack is all too common among leftists. Even some other leftists don't like it. See other reviews. So what's the writer's point, anyway? Is he one of those people who are deathly afraid of Palin because she will make a difference? Sure looks like it! What does the writer have to offer in place of her policies? More taxing people to death and giving the money to people who didn't earn it? Probably. I like to keep up with what the left is saying, but I have to take it in small doses, because anything larger than that gives me acute indigestion.

This is just a hate book even if some think it's funny. America is being torn in two and this last, corrupt, sometimes illegal election on the part of Obama's campaign, is doing exactly the opposite of what Obama said about uniting the country. As this book illustrates, his campaign continues, even after the election, and I'm quite sure the campaign to trash, destroy, and mock all that is good, spiritual, and desirable for good living in America, is rapidly being persecuted into oblivion.
If you like the atheists trashing everything they don't agree with, liberal fascists not being liberal, radical women libbers trashing real women, the ACLU chipping away at citizen's rights and protecting illegal immigrants, then books like this, authors like this, and a sick mentality like this is sure to please you. |
