Excellent Book!,
This review is from: 101 Tips: Healthy Eating, Naturally (Paperback)
There are so many diet books out there, but most of them seem to focus specifically on losing weight and/or looking better. Much of the time, these mainstream American diets will aid you in losing weight at the expense of your overall health (artificial sweeteners, processed foods, foreign chemicals, etc.). This book takes a completely natural approach to OVERALL HEALTH, including weight loss, deciphering nutrition labels, and the hows & whys of being truly healthy. Adopting some of the principles outlined in this book has changed the way I feel when I wake up every morning. You will never know how pure and naturally invigorated you can feel until you've experienced this lifestyle... not to mention that the layout of the book makes any topic that you want to read about incredibly accessible. Furthermore, the author's straightforward, personable tone of writing makes it very easy and fun to read (coming from someone who hates to read). The bottom line is that if you are serious about prolonging your health and energy now and in the long run, this may be the best ten dollars you could spend.

Informative Read,
By Reader of Books "CTCO" (Colorado, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 101 Tips: Healthy Eating, Naturally (Paperback)
I have really only read the blog that corrosponds to this book [...]. Because of this site, I have purchased this very inexpensive, yet packed and thought provoking informational guide to living a healthier lifestyle. I'm intrigued about how I could live such a healthy lifestyle with such pure and natural ingredients in this over-processed and lab-created-food world we live in. I look forward to receiving it in a few days. I highly recommend taking a look at the blog to see how much great information is in here, and how it could change your potentially harmful eating habits for the better!

Great ideas for EASY ways to eat better!,
This review is from: 101 Tips: Healthy Eating, Naturally (Paperback)
With all the talk about organic foods and transfats and high fructose corn syrup, I decided I wanted to be better informed and make better choices about what I eat. But I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. I got this book, and it's great! (And $10 is a lot cheaper than most books on this subject.) It's loaded with information, and it's actually fun to read. The tip format let's you go at whatever pace you like. Lots of the tips are so easy, you can make healthy changes in your diet without really going out of your way or feeling at all deprived. I have tried many of the suggested "good" foods, and I love them. They are more delicious and satisfying than some foods I used to consider indulgences. And they're good for you! Feels good to be eating more healthy. This book makes it easy.

I wish my daughter had this book when she went to college!,
By
This review is from: 101 Tips: Healthy Eating, Naturally (Paperback)
When my daughter first went off to college and could pick out her own food for the first time it was a disaster! She got herself sick and gained weight in no time. She was the most unhappy I had ever seen her. She was ready to give up on her ambitions--would have traded it all in just to feel good again. Back then I wish I could have had this book to send her--it is easy to read, packed with information and very very practical. I'd even go so far as say the material is easy to digest (pun intended!).
Anyway, the author, a Healthy Eating Guru (love that!) has put together some great research with real common sense in an easy to follow format that's hard to put down. Easy-to-browse like a magazine, with great tips. My favs are: Fear of Fat, Food as medicine, The Best Convenience Foods, Seasonal Allergies and When to Buy Organic. I also Googled and found her blog healthyeatingnaturally.wordpress.com |
