5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, March 11, 2008

I was surprised at how readable and useful this book was. The format is very user friendly, arranging the tips in bite size half page chunks, so that you can zip through a few and then immediately apply them to your playing, and then easily pick it back up later when you're ready for more suggestions.

This book is interesting but I wouldn't get it agaon unless it was on sale - a very good sale. Much of the content wll be known to experienced guitarists and those of lesser experience will pick up a lot of it more or less "on the way" anyway.

My only "complaint" is I wish it was 201 Tips. Seriously though, this is a very good book which gives you the essential tips for playing blues at your best and along with other musicians. The book gives quite a few standard cool sounding blues licks along with a complementary paragraph explaining the riffs significance and tips on how to play it. I've made quite a few of the licks my own and I am now on my second pass through this book to try and pick up some more.
