This is an excellent book for long distance parenting ideas. Some are rather generic, but you can build on those to make them even more special. I recommend this book to any parent who is away or going to be away from their children for any length of time at all.

In our mobile society, we deal with more and more move-away cases every year. As if it wasn't complicated enough, the law differs from state to state and changes all the time within each state. This little book is a terrific starting place for trying to figure out how to stay close with your children even though they may be miles away. Thankfully, we have technology to help us out with move-aways and long distance parenting, and while that's never Plan A, it certainly makes things easier. I've been a divorce professional (litigation attorney and now a full time mediator) for 22 years and this issue is, was, and always has been very tough. But if you're forced to be a long distance parent, then this book is a great starting place.

I was already doing a lot of these things, but it added some new insights and ways to embellish. It was good validation for things I felt were helpful.
