3.0 out of 5 stars That goodness there are other chicken books, June 1, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: 101 Ways to Prepare Chicken: Dynamic and Innovative Kitchen-Tested Recipes (Hardcover)
This cookbook is written in the index card format with recipes being very basic and contains no illustrations or pictures. Some of the recipes include: A Chicken Serenade in Wine Sauce; Chicken with vinegar and Wine Sauce; Esther's low-Cal Chicken Pot-Pie; T'Dog's Chicken with Syrup and Raisins; Ground Chicken with Chives, Tomatoes and Red Beans; Chicken Lemon and Vinegar Salad; Chicken and Butter Apple Dumplings; Chunk Chicken and Hot Potato Salad; and Chicken Souffle. Not all cookbooks must have color pictures, illustrations or fancy descriptions and details methods to be a great or even a good cookbook, yet a book must show that is has been thought out and that time has been taken in its creation. 101 Ways to Prepare Chicken does have some redeeming qualities but it is not a book that I personally would have run out to the store to buy. Vantage Press publishes 101 Ways to Prepare Chicken written by Esther B Randall Smith. A book containing 101 plus 2 bonus recipes for 103 ways to cook one of the most versatile foods
