5.0 out of 5 stars I laughed so hard...while reading parts of it to my husband!
I got this in the mail and decided to just page through it. After I read the introduction and started on chapter one, I couldn't put it down. I was laughing so hard I had to share...ever just need to share the funny? I had to...with my husband! Even he had to (grudgingly) admit that the torture was funny. This is a great book for wives or girlfriends, for that...

1.0 out of 5 stars Dumbest book ever. Other reviews are fabricated
This is just about the least imaginative book I've ever read. I'm actually less literate for having purchased it. Why do this publisher even bother wit the paper? See what I mean about being illiterate after reading it? 1.0 out of 5 stars Dumbest book ever. Other reviews are fabricated, February 14, 2011
This review is from: 101 Ways to Torture Your Husband (Paperback)
This is just about the least imaginative book I've ever read. I'm actually less literate for having purchased it. Why do this publisher even bother wit the paper? See what I mean about being illiterate after reading it? Oh, and in case you didn't notice all of the other reviews here are fabricated and written by the same person (probably the left brain-crippled author). Take note of the lame writing style (similar to the author's) and use of four elipses throughout each (versus the proper three). If you want to read something with zero wit and at a grade school level this book is most certainly for you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horribly offensive, December 23, 2011
This review is from: 101 Ways to Torture Your Husband (Paperback)
This book is an exercise in misandry. Had a man published a book on "how to torture your wife", he'd be castigated by the very people who gleefully enjoy this book. With a line like "Let's face it: Even the best husbands need a little punishment every now and then" you know what to expect. After all, would a woman think it clever and funny for a man to say "even the best wives need a little punishment now and then"? This "hilarious collection of clever tricks and tactics" includes such supposedly funny tactics like: convincing him that he has a disease, withholding sex for weeks at a time and then promising sex in exchange for chores - then refusing to pay up; putting laxatives in his food, flirting with his friends, deleting his DVR recordings, locking him outside in a bad storm (hail, snow, thunder...). This sounds to me like a recipe for divorce, not a foray into inter-relationship humor. The book is hateful, and Amazon should refuse to sell it.

5.0 out of 5 stars I laughed so hard...while reading parts of it to my husband!, December 18, 2009

I was laughing so hard I had to share...ever just need to share the funny? I had to...with my husband! Even he had to (grudgingly) admit that the torture was funny. This is a great book for wives or girlfriends, for that matter! Why wait 'till the wedding to become well versed in the amusing art of torture? Pay attention to the risk indicators, though...the level 5's might get you in trouble...hee hee hee! GO TEAM TORTURE!

I seriously have not had this much fun reading a book in a long time! From the first page to the last I did not stop laughing. Great fun ideas on how to simply mess with your significant other! My personal favorite was #35! Buy it for yourself or as a gift and then pick your own favorite form of torture.......

This book is seriously hilarious! I'm talking you might laugh until you cry. The author writes like a cool best friend dishing on some dirty little secret. 101 Ways to Torture Your Husband is pretty much lighthearted man-bashing without the hard-line psychotherapy. It kind of gives you permission to "hate" your husband without really HATING your husband. A great stocking stuffer now that it's the holidays...also should become a classic standard at bridal showers and bachelorette parties!!!
