Great light, but may be slightly 'flakey' fixture,

I ordered this as a replacement for the identical fixture installed under my cabinets - one of which comes on only when the mood hits it!! I had a similar problem with another single light xenon like this last year, and had to replace it, too.
Although the lighting from the fixture is really good - both a high and low setting and really disperses nicely over the counters - I would not install these again because of the 'flakiness' in performance over the two years we have had them installed.

These lights are really expensive and two of the three that I purchased (2 years ago) are having issues -- they flicker, buzz, then shut off after about 5-10 minutes of use. Other gripes I have are they throw quite a bit of heat, and the mounting screws were a bit too long (or maybe the bottom of my cabinets are too thin) as they poked through the bottom of my cabinets. I recently purchased the LED version of this light and feel those are overpriced as well.
