Book Description

May 1998
An apparently motiveless murder carried out on a train after its arrival in Paris is followed by a series of ruthless killings in the French capital. The only thing these crimes have in common is that all the victims travelled north that night in carriage IV of the 10:30 train from Marseille.

This review is from: 1030 From Marseille (Paperback)
All but one of the passengers on the Marseille express got off in Paris; Georgette Thomas stayed in her compartment....dead. Her murderer was swift and efficent, striking in the brief interval after the other passengers had left but before the clean-up man went through the train. Robbery was not the motive...all her money was still in her bag. The police had little to go on, but as they found and questioned the dead woman's relatives, business associates, and traveling companions...and sifted their findings...a picture of the bold, bizarre, and peculiarly Gallic crime emerged.
