My kids (ages: 9, 4, & 2) have spent hours building things with this toy. Anything that keeps them all busy is money well spent. Only thing I noticed is that when my 4 year old chewed on one of the sticks the red paint came off on his face and hands.

My grand-son loves to build things and this keeps his idle very busy and it brings out his artistic talents building things. A good way to use ones imagination to its fullest.

All three of my kids 7-9 enjoy playing with this toy, but it is one of those toys you put away and take out every so often. Only one piece broke since we had it, and the quality of the workmanship is evident. You might want to buy multiple sets: some of these pieces are decoration and not construction.
