This is One Cool Watering Can!,

I love OXO products. They are always thoughtfully designed and fit my hands well. This watering can completely lives up to the OXO name. The spout turns 360 degrees to store next to the can (it takes much less room), you can also twist the spout to angle off slightly to pour oddly positioned plants. The flower (the sprinkler end for watering) does fit securely into the can for storage. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how to fit it in, but it is a great idea. This larger can is best suited to outdoor watering. Get the smaller one if you are watering indoors. Although this is heavy when full of water, you can hold the handle in several places and angles to lessen the strain of holding a heavy can and you can hold it in a variety of angles for pouring.

The only positive thing I can say about this watering can is that it can be a space-saver if you need it to be. I bought this because I wanted a curved spout to be able to reach a hanging basket that was up too high for me to reach comfortably with any of my other watering cans.*I find it to be a very clumsy design. I have other 2-gallon cans and they're not nearly as unwieldy as this can. I have large hands for a woman (size 9.5 glove), but even I can't get a comfortable grip on the excessively large diameter handle on this can. On top of that, there's no way to pop open the rose to clean the detritus out of it. Also, the spray on the rose is so fine that it takes forever and a year to water anything (and I actually prefer fine-spray roses). Oxo - you need to seriously re-think this design. Until you do, I'll stick with my Haws cans (http://www.hawswateringcans.com/index.htm), thank-you-very-much. Yes, they're pricey, but with care they'll last quite a long time. (The galvanized professional metal ones last for generations - IF you can afford them!) If you can't afford a Haws, then I strongly recommend the Dramm Dramm 5 Liter Watering Can, Assorted Colors. The rose can be popped open to clean out the detritus; and as a whole it's more manageable than the Oxo. It's nowhere near as clumsy to use. *I've since re-located the hanging basket and can reach it just fine now! :)

this is a good watering can. the swivel spout is an ingenious idea: it's clear enough to see the water level in the can and, when folded back, keeps water from sloshing out while you carry it from faucet to plant. it holds enough water that you don't have to make quite so many trips back and forth from the faucet. the grip is wide and comfy. the engineering provides good balance when it's full of water and is easy to pour. my only beef, and it's no fault of the product, is that it's too tall to fit under my kitchen faucet, which is where i usually fill my watering cans. still, i can use my detachable shower head in the bath to solve that little inconvenience.i would recommend this watering can for major outdoor watering needs. pick a smaller more nimble one for your smaller indoor plants.

Great - until it broke after 1 month,

After loving this product for a month, I was very disappointed when it developed a large crack from the mouth of the reservoir towards the front of the unit. I wrote to oxo - and they said they would replace it. Of course, I would have to sent it back to them - something that would undoubtedly add 25% (or more) to the total price of purchasing and owning this item, plus the cost of my time and effort. In summary: - Durability sucks - Cost of ownership if durability issues occur = too high

The only negative comment I have is this watering can is pricey, but I think it's worth the price. I use this watering can to water the plants on my deck, and it's the perfect size. The rotating spout makes it easy to store. Also the spout is clear so you can see the water level which is helpful if mixing fertilizer. The spout tip is removeable and stores right on the watering can itself. Great product!I have the OXO Good Grips Indoor Pour & Store Watering Can 3.17-quart, Green for use indoors. Great size for indoor use.

Mine leaks, too.,

Everything about this design is terrific except for the one big flaw that apparently isn't limited to mine. From the first time I used it, it leaked at the joint between the spout and the container. By the time you figure in time to re-package (I threw away its box) and pay for postage, there's not much incentive to return a $25 item. So I wrap it with a towel and water away. But OXO, whose products are usually so satisfying, needs to go back to the drawing board with this one.

I ordered this watering can because it looks so attractive. But the first time I used it, it leaked at the bottom of the spout, where the black joint is. It was all over my kitchen countertop. I should have known that any joint has the possibility of leaking. I returned it. I think this might work if it is strictly used outdoor.

Although there's not a whole lot that can be said about a watering can, it looks great and works well.Because of a problem that occurred with shipping, I ended up contacting Oxo support, and they were very responsive and friendly as well.

Great watering can, but...,
This review is from: OXO 1070531 Good Grips Outdoor Pour & Store 2.11-Gallon Watering Can, Blue (Lawn & Patio)
I am very pleased with the watering can. Like a few other folks mentioned in their reviews, I did not receive the detachable rosette from Amazon with my shipment. In order to get one from Amazon, I was required to send the entire can back, order a new one, and keep my fingers crossed that a rosette came with the new one. However, I contacted OXO directly through their website, and I received a rosette within a few days.

I've owned one of these for about a year. It's got some great features - especially the markings which are very easy to read, and it has good balance. However, after about a month of use it began leaking at the base of the spout, where it pivots. It's a very slow leak, so it's still usable, but it prevents me from leaving any water in it without creating a puddle around it. Also, the little rosette falls out easily from the spout and doesn't stay in it's "holding" place when you don't want to use it. OXO will replace it but I have to send it back to them; I'm not sure it'll be worth the shipping cost. I expected better from OXO.
