4.0 out of 5 stars O2-Cool 10" Flat Panel Fan
I really like this fan; it's really strong for the 10". The only bad thing is that after using it for more than 1 hour the fan starts to get warm, and sometimes even hot.

3.0 out of 5 stars Has to be close to you to feel the breeze
I was thinking of buying one of these fans. I saw a demostration model in a store and tested it, but I didn't feel any breeze from its position on the shelf. It was only when I took it off the shelf and held it about 12" from my face that I felt the fan. On the good side, it is very quiet though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Satified with this fan, June 18, 2007
This review is from: O2Cool 1078 Indoor/Outdoor Battery/AC-Powered 10-Inch Portable Fan (Kitchen)
I originally purchased this fan to be used outside at my daughter's softball games. It was a life saver in the SC heat. I am so glad I purchased it. Other parents were very envious (i shared occassionally). My daughter used it in between games to cool down and she enjoyed it. Recently my hubby and I have used it in our bedroom (with the adaptor)because our ceiling fan is not working. It is perfect because we can easily slide it into a hiding spot in the mornings when we clean our room. It would be very effiecient in a power outage. I would recommend this fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars O2 Cool - Oh! Too Cool!, April 16, 2007

My parents live in Florida, so we got two of these and rechargable batteries for use in case of storms and power outages. The fan is very quiet when operating. I like the fact that it runs on batteries - great addition to the "Hurricane Survival Kit"!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it., August 23, 2008
I have the older model 1071, same motor & blades. I've used mine for well over a year now in the stateroom of my ship. It has been run constantly on high for month (well over 700 hours straight), and never a problem. I take it with me wherever I need to work, it has been exposed to the salty air of the seas and is still chuggin'. I do wish it was easier to take apart and clean, as dust has now accumulated on the blades and screens.

For a battery powered fan, this does the trick quite well and seems to last as long as advertised with fresh batteries, however it's a bit flimsy in construction. When the unit arrived, a part had dislodged giving it an unfinished appearance with wiring exposed. Then I found the part in the box and replaced it, which solved that problem. Installing all the batteries was a bit of a challenge too, as they didn't want to snap into place. Once they were in however, the fan works well and suits my purpose. I'm pleased to see that you can use the supplied jack to plug it into an outlet also, but wonder about the stability if the battery weight isn't there. For now, I'll use it with the batteries as I planned. It's not the 'Maglite' of fans, but does work as advertised.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Office Desk Fan!, November 12, 2007
A co-worker and I purchased this fan from a major retailer for our desks...I broke mine and it was no longer available from the retailer...was very excited to get one here!

The thin profile makes this a great desk fan!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome fan, July 15, 2007
This review is from: O2Cool 1078 Indoor/Outdoor Battery/AC-Powered 10-Inch Portable Fan (Kitchen)
This fan is WONDERFUL. I bought it because I'm 8 months pregnant and was going to be helping with a 4th of July parade and needed a fan that would work with batteries. It didn't let me down. And, I have the fan plugged in every night to keep me cool through the hot flashes. It's been great.

5.0 out of 5 stars good emergency fan, July 2, 2007
This review is from: O2Cool 1078 Indoor/Outdoor Battery/AC-Powered 10-Inch Portable Fan (Kitchen)
I bought this mainly to ventilate my bathroom - lightweight, small, slim, with good air movement. Very quiet too. Love the battery option - great for power outages and hurricane prep. Found at walmart for 13.88.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: O2Cool 1078 Indoor/Outdoor Battery/AC-Powered 10-Inch Portable Fan (Kitchen)
This little fan is suprisingly powerful and fits in nicely with my stash of emergency items. It can get very hot where I live(Texas)and power outages seem to be more common then they used to be. This fan can be the difference between being merely uncomfortable and being truely miserable in the heat when the power goes out and the A/C goes with it.
