1.0 out of 5 stars Very poor performance, July 21, 2011
This review is from: 108 Mbps Wireless Firewall Router (Electronics)
I purchased this router a while back and just haven't gotten around to writing a review until now. It is important for me to review it as the performance of the router and the service from the company was very poor. The router would quit working several times and I called their service line many, many times trying to figure out what the problem was. Usually they were able to help me adjust some settings or walk me through the reset but they were never able to figure out why it would stop working although they gave me many diagnosis. They sent me a replacement and that had the same problem.
At some point they wanted to start charging me for the service calls which meant I just went out and bought a different router-Linksys- which has been working a couple of years now with only a couple of no signal situations which resolved with restarting everything (usually happened when I used my laptop at a coffee shop for some reason). The one time I called at the beginning to get help setting up the tech was helpful and resolved the issue with no problem.
The techs for Netgear were nice, just couldn't diagnose what the problem really was nor fix it.
