This review is from: The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America (Paperback)
What kind of connotation does the expression "conspiracy theory" give you?
If a you get a negative connotation, you should know that according to the dictionary, a "conspiracy" is "an agreement to perform together an illegal, wrongful, or subversive act". You should also know that the U.S. governments official explanation of 9/11 events involve a conspiracy theory. According to the Bush administration, a group of Muslims had conspired to bring about a large-scale tragedy against the American people. This book shows why this official "conspiracy theory", propagated by the U.S. government, cannot be correct. Since after Charles Darwin wrote his "On the Origin of Species", the theory of evolution has been resisted by people who believe that humankind is the result of creation. What would you think has been one of the most effective weapons in the hands of those wanting to promote the evolution theory? It is to depict the evolution theory as the more scientific and intellectually reasonable alternative. This book provides exactly that regarding the events of 9/11: a more scientific and intellectually reasonable alternative to the official "conspiracy theory". Contrary to what may be inferred from some other reviews, I want to add here that the terms "energy weapon", "beam weapon", "star wars", or "dustified" do not occur in this book. I actually bought the book because I saw a youTube video about a talk given by Jim Fetzer, where he referred to the POSSIBILITY that some sort of a high energy weapon was used to demolish the buildings. I was hoping that he would have elaborated on such weapons in the book (because I thought it would be cool to read about them) but he did not. I have went through the book several times because of hoping to find at least one reference to anything like that, but no luck. Perhaps it is in one of the copious footnotes, which I have largely skipped. By the way, whether he refers to any novel weapons is something you can check for yourself by searching for specific terms with the Amazon 'search inside' feature. Another issue is that Jim Fetzer is not the only author on this book; besides being the editor of the book, he wrote only one of the chapters (chapter 2). This chapter discusses, among other things, the possibility that the WTC towers fell due controlled demolitions. Jim states (on p. 52) that "there appears to be at least ten features of the collapse of the Twin Towers that are expectable effects of controlled demolitions" [sic]. He lists following 9 of these: A. the buildings fell at about the rate of free fall B. both buildings collapsed virtually straight down C. almost all concrete was turned into very fine dust D. the collapses were complete, leaving virtually no steel columns standing E. photographic records of the collapse show "demolition waves" occurring just ahead of the collapsing floors F. most of the steel beams fell in sections 30' to 40' feet in length G. firemen reported hearing sequences of explosions H. seismological events were recorded coincident with aircraft impacts I. pools of molten metal were observed in the subbasements after the event In other words, Jim Fetzer does not claim that the STEEL was pulverized; he says that most of the CONCRETE was pulverized. Then there's the case of whether airplanes actually hit the WTC buildings or not. This is discussed in detail in chapter 6 ("Some Holes in the Plane Stories"), written by Morgan Reynolds and Rick Rajter. Another good book about the 9/11 tragedy is "Towers of deception", which takes a deeper look at media complicity and false flag operations: Towers of Deception: The Media Cover-up of 9/11 Alternatively, if you are interested of reading how the media is used to propagate propaganda regarding the state of the U.S. economy, check out chapter 2 in the book "Crash Proof": Crash Proof: How to Profit From the Coming Economic Collapse (Lynn Sonberg Books) For another take on why evidence points to the use of explosives in connection with WTC collapse, do a web search for the document "Why Indeed Did the WTC Buildings Completely Collapse?", written by Dr. Steven Jones. Steven is a physicist and archaeometrist and worked for Brigham Young University before retiring in 2006.

Controlled demolition beyond reasonable doubt,

This review is from: The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America (Paperback)
This book, written by eminent scholars, explains clearly what every responsible citizen should know about 9/11.
For the editor of this book the events of 9/11 required involvement of the US government at the highest level. D. R. Griffin debunks the myths created by the powerful ruling class, that our political and military leaders simply would not do such a thing, that there was no motive, that the involvement could not be kept secret, that the airliners could not be intercepted, that the impact of the planes caused the collapsing of 3 mega-buildings or that the 9/11 Commission was independent. J. Wood proves that the explanation of the collapse of the WTC towers in the 9/11 Commission Report and the NIST is not physically possible. For J.P. Firmage, the 9/11 events show that the evil exists within the republic. For M. Reynolds and R. Rajter, everything the government and its controlled media say about 9/11 must be construed as deception. E. Davidson dissects the `War on Terrorism'. For him, `retail terrorism' is trivial compared to the `wholesale terrorism' committed by states: wars, extreme poverty, hunger, illiteracy, environmental degradation, AIDS, lack of clean water, child mortality. J.D. Scott draws a comparison between the JFK murder and 9/11. One fact is perfectly clear: `there has been and continues to be a massive cover-up.' But hardest hitting of them all is J. McMurthy. For him, the war on terrorism became a blank check for corporate corruption, war criminal acts and attacks on civil rights. His cynical conclusion is that geostrategically, `decisions are perfectly indifferent to loss of life as long as it advances US investment interests and military control to defend them.' This book is not less than a controlled demolition of all US governmental reporting on the 9/11 massacre. It is a must read for all those interested in the functioning of current world powers and in the future of mankind.

This review is from: The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America (Paperback)
A nice compilation of 9/11 Truth material. A great deal of time must have been put into this excellent volume. The Twin Towers were pulverized into powder. This was proven by Dr Judy Wood (former Professor of Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University), who recently filed an official Request For Correction with NIST, and is represented by attorney Jerry Leaphart. As far as whether real commercial planes were used on 9/11: watch the 10 minute video "Octopus 8" on google video/youtube. You will be surprised!

The facts about 911,
By Yogi (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America (Paperback)
This book presents the facts concerning the event of 911. It "does not" state that no planes hit the Towers, only that they were not Jumbo jets. Also, it is stated that the WTC towers were possibly turned to dust by high energy weapons since they "collapsed" at free-fall speed (10 seconds), which is only possible by controlled demolition. This scientific book is a must read if you want to know what really happened on the day that changed this country!

When Science, Wisdom and Truth meet...,
By Said Huber (Schweiz) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America (Paperback)
Committed to Truth and scientific reasoning University Professor Emeritus JAMES H. FETZER (a former Marine Corps officer) explains together with eminent scholars and researchers in a breathtaking way all essential facts that all responsible citizens should know about the atrocities of 9/11.
Examining thoroughly the scientific, historical, political, economical and psychological dimensions of these horrendous events they substantiate convincingly that 1. the 9/11 government account (= official conspiracy theory) is provably false, 2. all circumstancial evidence points at an "inside job" (yet to be subjected to impartial criminal investigation), 3. the alleged (global) "war on terrorism" - an oxymoron - is a double deception upon humanity (enabeling hidden robber-knight and Orwellian police-state agendas). Reading this book the question arises if the stratagem to call 9/11-Truth researchers names (or doing worse to them) reflects the moral and intellectual bankruptcy of those who refuse to LOOK at the facts with an open mind and to THINK logically (--- Prof. JUDY WOOD's "10 sec.-WTC1/2-riddle" [see: p. 84 et sqq.] and Prof. MORGAN REYNOLDS's "butter-smooth entry"-paradox [see: p. 163] require of course unconditional logical reasoning and honest love for Truth --- or is Shakespeare right writing: "What fools these mortals be"?). Anyway I'm thrilled to see these brave scholars for 9/11-Truth stand up and prove - once more and beyond any reasonable doubt - that war IS a racket, as America's most decorated USMC Major General SMEDLEY D. BUTLER believed (By the way: do you think this General was wrong to write: "There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes and the other is the Bill of Rights. War for any other reason is simply a racket."?). Said Huber, attorney/Major of the Swiss Armed Forces (Military Supreme Court) ***

Jim Fetzer is a joke. Uh, no, I didn't read this book, nor would I ever read anything written by this crackpot posing as a researcher. Do you all realize he does NOT believe we landed on the moon, that it was all done by NASA on a sound stage? What else do you need to know about this guy???

Responsible Science,

This review is from: The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America (Paperback)
This book provides a responsible look at the science that points to a massive cover-up of U.S. insider involvement in the explosions at the World Trade Center and Pentagon. I've tried to tell friends about this, but they always say that I'm a "conspiracy theorist". Using what I've learned in this book, I then work to put THEM on the defensive, saying that they need to look at the evidence, and then challenge the EVIDENCE, rather than start in on name calling.

THE REAL SCIENCE OF 9/11,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America (Paperback)
Back in 1973-74 - the height of Watergate - there was a palpable sense of danger around DC. I was there for a short time in `73: believe me, that feeling was real. "Government by gunplay" was not out of the question. G. Gordon Liddy was plotting to "off" columnist Jack Anderson, and in turn later volunteered to "take one for the team," offering to allow himself to be snuffed on a capital street.
Later, Defense Secretary James Schlesinger issued an order to all field commanders: Don't carry out any orders from the White House without checking it with me first. Nixon was known to be increasingly erratic and desperate, and was apparently being watched closely by top aides and cabinet officers, including Schlesinger, White House Chief of Staff General Al Haig, and SecState Henry Kissinger. Cornered animals are very dangerous. Fast forward 33 years, and it's "deja vu all over again." He's not being impeached (God only knows why not!), but the Codpiece Kid has plunged as far as any President has ever fallen in approval polls. Knives are being sharpened up in Congress. The blackness of the Iraq nightmare is seeping finally into the White House itself. Those Prez'ninshul hairs grow whiter by the day. At his last press conference his eyes looked glazed, unfocused, his body language reminiscent of a character named "Lurch" from a long-ago TV series. Navy task forces prowl the Persian Gulf, Iran on the horizon. Chertoff's gut says the bad guys are bound to misbehave again, sooner rather than later. All we hear on the TV news in danger, danger, danger. Brian, Katie, and company are right: we are in danger. I don't think this country has ever been in more danger - and that includes the Cuban Missile Crisis. And from another 9/11, or worse. That's why Fetzer's latest collection - and books/videos like it -- is badly needed right now, and why this book, or at least its message, deserves as wide a circulation as it can get. It points to where the real source of all our danger lies. Or at least the greatest, most powerful source, and the one we are politically -- Constitutionally -- in the best position to do something about. The unified thrust of all the articles in this volume is simple and direct: the official account of 9/11 just cannot be sustained. The three buildings at NY's World Trade Center were most likely brought down by pre-planned controlled demolitions; the Pentagon could not have been hit by a Boeing 757, hence was not hit by American Airlines Flight 77. Who had the power to make these things happen? Such an operation clearly required the involvement of the highest levels of the US government. Reinforcing this inescapable explanation is the fact that "our highest elected officials took extraordinary steps to prevent any formal investigation of 9/11," and, when it was forced on them, did everything they could to subvert it. (Fetzer, "Thinking About Conspiracy Theories," p. 60.) A powerful dose of "political truth" indeed, one that probably a majority of Americans are unwilling to swallow, no matter how disaffected from this government they may feel. That's why this is such a dangerous time: like in that old song about love, we're looking for danger in all the wrong places. But a few more comments about the book itself, before reverting to that topic: Overall it's a solid collection of essays, maybe a little more uneven than Fetzer's earlier compilations on the JFK case (Assassination Science, Murder in Dealey Plaza, The Great Zapruder Film Hoax). Highlights: -- Jack White's "9/11: A Photographic Portfolio. . ." is disappointingly brief (I was probably spoiled by having seen his Pentagon presentation). I like his clear, succinct captions and how they zero in on the main issues. -- Judy Wood, "A Refutation of the Official Collapse Theory" is a short, well-illustrated, clearly understandable summary of why the "pancake" explanation of how WTC 1 and 2 fell just doesn't work. The fact that Wood lost her university job over her 9/11 work speaks volumes about the perilous state this country is in. -- David Ray Griffin, "9/11: The Myth and the Reality" is first-rate, as is just about everything by the leading scholar on these issues. - Peter Dale Scott, "JFK and 9/11" - just when you think you know where he's headed, Scott surprises you! - On the other hand, Morgan Reynolds adds more heat than light; John McMurty contributes a long and insightful essay ("Explaining the Inexplicable: Anatomy of an Atrocity") that unfortunately suffers from his awkward writing style. It's a jolting experience, though, to read McMurty's listing of the stunning number of international treaties, protocols, conventions our government has unilaterally repudiated in recent years. We've basically thumbed our national nose at the rest of the world community on issues ranging from preventing genocide to landmines to the rights of children. The world's Lone Ranger, for sure! But I think the best contribution is by the editor himself, Fetzer's "Thinking About Conspiracy Theories: 9/11 and JFK." In these thirty pages he offers a clear, forceful exposition of the way scientific methodology should work in cases like these. Every critical reader or researcher should read and re-read what Fetzer has to say about the four stages of scientific reasoning, from puzzlement to speculation to adaptation to explanation - from that initial, confused moment of "How can this be?" to a satisfying connecting- of-all-the-dots (obeying the requirement of total evidence), reasoning by inference to the best explanation. Fetzer reminds us that in science the expression "beyond a reasonable doubt" means that no alternative explanation is reasonable. Example: the official 9/11 story violates basic laws of physics and engineering. (p. 54) The government's account of the WTC "collapses" posits a physically impossible sequence of events whose probability is null (less than zero, because physically impossible; just as in the JFK case the single-bullet theory is physically impossible). On the other hand, based on scientifically sound measures of probability and likelihood, the alternative hypothesis of controlled demolition has been objectively established beyond a reasonable doubt. (56, 58.) Infallible? Fixed in cement for all time? Hardly. Fetzer points out that conclusions in science are always tentative and fallible (contrary to a widespread misperception). Even so, "There is in fact no reasonable alternative to a fairly large-scale conspiracy in the death of our 35th President, which means that it has been established beyond a reasonable doubt." (51.) Similarly, the government's own "conspiracy theory" regarding 9/11 is simply unsustainable - and this beyond a reasonable doubt. This is strong, sound, forceful, important, stuff, rooted in strong, sound scientific/historical methodology. Fetzer's explication of these principles is particularly welcome in view of the current all-out, near-hysterical assault on "conspiracy theorists" - JFK and 9/11 alike - by our cultural and political gatekeepers , determined as they are to keep us in fear and trembling in the face of all those dangers we need protection from. . . . . . and in ignorance and denial about the clear and present danger right in our midst.

This review is from: The 9/11 Conspiracy: The Scamming of America (Paperback)
The book provides good insights from scholarly professionals, but I feel like other books that explore the 9/11 Truth issues are more effective in presenting the information.
