To be quite honest with you i am a little mad nobody has reviewed this cd yet. It is a great cd. I heard "Overkill" on the radio and knew that i must get this cd. I got lucky too, every song is just as good as "Overkill". If you like rock alternative you must buy this cd. It is GREAT. I cannot stress that enough, this cd is great.I have ton of cds such as the foo fighters, everclear, bush, the offspring and many other great rock alternative bands and this ranks up there with bands such as these. BUY THIS CD! IT IS A GREAT BUY!

This CD is EXCELLENT! This is not the CD with the Scrubs theme song--that album is "All the Time in the World." This album, in my opinion, is much better. I only like a few songs on the other album, and feel that I wasted my money when I could have just downloaded "Superman" from Itunes. However, I love almost all the songs on this album--especially track 10 "Overkill"--which features Collin Hays.

Seriously, there's not a song on this CD that I skip. I agree that someone should taken more notice of this CD. I saw Overkill on M2 with the cameo from the guy from men at work, and I was hooked. That song alone is enough reason to buy this CD.

Full disclosure: I have a very very indirect connection to the band. In fact I got the CD free from a friend of the band who I know well. My initial reaction when he gave me the disc: "Oh great. I'm sure this is going to suck."
Surprise! This is a GREAT CD and one which I have listened to many, many, many times. To my ears, it combines elements of the Replacements' later albums, XTC, and Men at Work (!). Not the usual stuff. But excellent. Where's the follow up?

In the late 90s I listen to used to listen to this cd on and off for quite some time. I loved the song Overkill, because it had Colin hay. But, I love Fleamarket Girl and the rest of the album was just outstanding.

Long story, but my memory got jogged. No digital content for this album is available, period! WTF!?

So, this categorized a musical emergency! To Amazon! Thank God it was available. I bought it immediately, I can't wait to listen to it again. Really a great album.

Lazlo Bane's 1996 remake of Men At Work's "Overkill" is one of the best remakes of the 1990's. Featuring a cameo vocal by the former 'Men At Work' frontman, this version of the song is clearly a superior rock-and-roll version of the original. That said, the rest of "11 Transistor" is generally a passable but unremarkable garage-rock album. There are a couple of above-average tracks (only slightly above-average), but on the whole the disc is not a memorable production. Certainly nothing on the album comes close to the polished "Overkill" remake.
Lazlo Bane's frontman was a former member of "School of Fish", a band who's first album, the self-titled "School of Fish", is still one of my personal favorites 10 years after its release.
I suggest saving your money on "11 Transistor" and instead making an investment in "School of Fish" and look for the 1997 promotional CD single of "Overkill" which includes three variations of this excellent remake.
