I've been a carpenter for over 25 years, and the first time I held this hammer in my hand I knew it changed everything. A perfect multi-use tool. I use it for all facets of construction, from framing to delicate finish work.
The handle length is perfect for the 22 oz. weight, and it feels perfectly balanced in use. The smooth head allows for the finer work, and it's rare to find this on a beefier hammer.
I bought my first one over 12 years ago and used it exclusively untill I lost it while camping last year. I absolutely had to have another one, and I couldn't find it locally in my small town hardware store, so I ordered it and suffered through the wait using a combination of 3 different hammers to do the different facets of carpentry. My hammer holder can only hold 1 at a time, so......I really missed the flexability.
The reason I only give it 4 stars is because Plumb no longer makes this product in America, as my 1st one was. But I've had this new hammer for 9 months now, and it really is like having a best friend come back into my life.

and all it has to do is drive nails but, the issue i have is the fact that Plumb tools has moved all of it's manufacturing operations overseas and that is where the problem lies, as i believe in buying as many items as possible that are made in the USA .

Plumb tools have lost a buyer for life!
