Product Description

Since 1769, Puma has been hand crafting the finest sporting knives in the world. The Puma Original Bowie knife represents that heritage of high quality knife making tradition. Hand made in Germany, the six inch D1.4 German stainless steel blade and genuine stag horn handle combine to make a truly world class cutting tool. Each blade is Rockwell tested to a hardness of 57-59 for the perfect combination of strength and ease of sharpening. The handle is drilled to accept the included leather lanyard.

I wanted mine today and why I didn't buy from Amazon.
I just got one from a local BassPro today and noticed the quality isn't like Puma use to be.
Even cheap box, instead of the years of traditional green/yellow hard plastic box.
I noticed that it is a German steel, and stage handle, BUT assembled in CHINA!!!
Sneaky, you don't see the box until you pay for it. Nothing on blade says China, but on the box it does.
This is NOT PUMA quality by far. It's China quality.
I have a 50+ year old Puma Skinner and it was better made than this one.
This Puma is going back to BassPro.
Everything is made in China anymore, Gerber & Kershaw use to be made in Oregon, but now China.
China owns USA now...

Good size, nice looking, sharp, nice sheath, looks like it will be durable and retain its edge for a long time.

This is a great knife , well balanced and scales fit your hand perfect. Came pretty sharp but the tip had been dinged like someone had dropped it point down on a hard surface. It wasnt bad and honed out after awhile. This will be an heirliom if i dont ever lose it. Very pleased with it.
