Looks great, too bad about the numerous problems,

This review is from: 12.1-inch Ultra Thin Core 2 Duo (Personal Computers)
I was really excited about recieving this computer. Small, sleek, and lots of features sounded like exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, from the day it arrived to me, it has had many problems. The card reader doesn't work, and will work one time every time you reinstall the driver- which is not a short and simple process and erases data. The screen blinks off and on and comes out with a bloated appearance. After speaking with many bored sounding Asus reps, I sent the computer in, only to have another bored Asus rep call and say there was no problem. As soon as it was returned, the screen gave way to permanent appearance problems, the card reader went out altogether and then after a week the entire system crashed and all my data was lost. The recovery CD won't even help. SO...another phone call with bored Asus reps, another trip to Asus (although once again I am still waiting to get shipping information- last time it was over a week), making this another week out of the few I have owned this computer that a) everything has been erased, and b) it has to be sent to the service center. They don't have local service centers, so you have no choice to mail it off with every problem. Another note- what they say about the battery life of this machine is true- it's dismal. And finally- when I told them the serial number on the computer, they informed me it was made some time last year and was an old machine. I just bought it at the end of May- no one ever mentioned it was older.
My advice? If you want a beautiful, lightweight paperweight that costs $1700 and you don't ever actually have a need to use your computer, this is the one for you. However, if you don't feel like dealing with lots of reps, rexplaining problems day after day, and want a computer that doesn't end up with you losing all your data week after week until you are afraid to save anything on its hard drive- save your money. There are lots of other options for this computer size, and in my opinion, Asus has failed miserably in both customer service and production. Good luck.
