5.0 out of 5 stars Simple easy way to learn and practice 12-bar blues, June 1, 2008
This review is from: 12-Bar Blues Riffs: 25 Classic Patterns Arranged for Guitar in Standard Notation and Tab (Riff Notes) (Paperback)
To better help you put my review in perspective, I have been playing guitar for about four years. If you are looking for an introductory book that will help you get a handle on 12-bar blues for guitar this is it. It does not cover other types of 12-bar blues (funk, jazz, etc.), just simple Buddy Guy, BB King, Robert Cray type 12-bar blues. For this type of blues I like it much more than the other book I won on the subject by Ruben - "12-Bar Blues".

If you're a plodder like me, a serious study of this book will give you a better understanding of your fretboard by learning 25 blues riffs. Some are similar and you could add your own, but I can play stuff now that I couldn't before.

Clean and simple. The rifts included are a very good start to building your blues catalog. Easy to follow tabs and a good CD to refine your technique.
