Having bought the entire program several years back I can attest to the fact that the book does not have all the exercises which came with the program. For instance, the exercise for double chins are missing and so are most of every other exercise.

However, for getting started, I suppose it's okay.

While the book for the body make over eating...

I have been a fan of Michael's for four years now. After my first child I started his Six Week Body Makeover and dropped 25 lbs in 12 weeks. I did it again after my second child, and I've started it for a third time after a year of gaining weight due to hypothyroid issues. My husband did it and lost 30 lbs in 8 weeks, and was able to come off his cholesterol medication. There are no gimmicks, no fad pills or shakes to drink. This is simple to learn and do--strength training, mild cardio and a balanced, healthy diet, with TONS of food! Every time I start the program I have trouble eating all the food!

This is a condensed version of his more expensive 6 week body makeover, which I paid $200 for four years ago. It is strict, but it works, and you will not feel deprived with all the food. Anyone can do it, there's no special equipment needed. Give it a try, I promise it works!

I am a 53 year old female. Good genes finally weren't enough, and the draping sagging arms and thighs got so bad that I was doomed to long sleeves and pants. I live in the sun belt - so in desperation i picked up a copy of 12-Day Miracle and the simple exercise tools and started in. that was 2 weeks ago. For me, this is a miracle. There is noticable difference in appearance in my legs, arms and posture. amazing! strength and stamina immediately improved also.

I have not looked at the diet yet, so can't speak to that. It took me the whole 12 days to get the hang of the exercises and counting - all with light weight to get some muscle tone started and the hang of it before moving up a notch in weight. I spend 90 minutes getting through the exercises. (every third day off) but considering the results with light weight and still figuring out what I am doing - this is what I call big bang for the buck! It was fun to find my body type, too.

I just wanted something to get me looking better as quickly as possible, and it isn't surprising that i feel the increased strength so quickly, but i wasn't expecting such fast results on appearance. this is just the motivation i needed to keep me exercising.

Once I get through a month of consistent exercise, then i will see about adding the diet part. I have about 7 extra pounds to lose, so I'll see what I think about his system. If it helps as easily as the body sculpting did - I'll add another review.

I did the program for 12 days and stayed on it. It's tough, but works. I lost 8 pounds, 7 inches and could have lost more if I did not cheat (small not big cheats). I have actually gotten to the point I drink 10x16.9 oz bottles of h20 a day. I number the caps and as I drink the bottles, save the lids. Easier to keep track this way. Ground turkey is now my best friend. I've been doing 5-6 cardios plus 3 days of resistance training/week. It's alot of time and work, but am getting results.

I've like Michael for a while. Watching him on Extreme Makeover his theories seem to be logical and user friendly. The book is well layed out with good illustrations. The diet info is well balanced and nutritionally sound. I'd been on Weight Watchers for 6 months and had lost 50lbs. I still had 10 more to loose so I thought a change would be good. When I weighed in I'd lost 4.6lbs in 2 weeks with this book. This was amazing since I was well past the water lose stage on the game. His workout strategy is intellegent explanning how to create a long lean look instead of creating muscle where I didn't want it. I highly reccomend the book. It's no weight lose miracle just sound logic that will work IF YOU DO IT!

I stated the program following it to the letter eating, exercising, working out. Started on a Saturday 8/8/09 did everything, exercise, cardio, diet by the book. By 8/13/09 lost 8.4 pounds and 14.5 inches. Amazing! In only 5 days! Unfortunately I broke my little toe on the pm of 8/13 so I will be able to do upper body exercises and some lower but no walking :( . If you want results fast this will tone you and reshape you. I had so much energy after the first day I could not believe it. I have never had any energy in my entire life but after doing this I did and and now do!

I picked this up when it was free on Kindle, right after new year's. I read it with a jaded eye, expecting to pick out the mistaken notions or unhealthy practices the author was advocating.

I was shocked to find that Thurmond's advice all passes the "sniff test"; it all makes sense from a practical and medical standpoint. Eat 5-6 small meals a day -- all low in fat and sugar. Cardio is two of every three days and is 45-60 minutes of low heart rate activity (walking or stationary bike). Muscle building takes 60-90 minutes depending on how you build your own plan, and is also done two of every three days.

So yeah, it's not easy. But darned if it doesn't work. I've done this 2.5 times now (quit halfway through the 3rd time due to illness) and am halfway through another round. The first time I lost 8 lb. The second time I lost 7 lb. This time, so far, I've lost 4.4 lb. I do take time off between 12-day stretches, so my overall weight loss at this point is right around 15 lb.

Not only do I weigh less than I have in over a decade, I'm more toned, and my posture is far better. I sit at a computer all day, and I don't slump any longer. I've had far fewer migraines since I started the program back in January, and that alone has been worth it.

I've posted my progress on twitter and facebook, and several of my friends have bought the book as well. They have found what I warned them to be true: this plan is not easy, but if you can follow it, it works.

The insight and body shaping techniques pertaining to the various body types were great but the diet was a little too strict for me. Crash dieting in such a strict form has been shown to create yo yo dieting but the tips used in moderation and not with a 'fast' makeover in mind along with the exercises are great. I use the exercises in the gym setting and am very pleased with Thurmonds techniques.

i was actually suprised at how much weight i lost in the first week. i have had trouble loosing even a few pounds in weeks of watching my diet and excercising--i was extremly skeptical of the book-but was determined to stick to every day for the full 12 days! i lost 7 pounds in the first 5 days-and another pound the second week. it has definatley given me a jump start to healthier eating! I actually only needed to loose 10 pounds so only a few more and im at my goal weight!
