5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Book
The book is a visually stunning version of the traditional Christmas carol. Each day is like its own work of art. The pop-ups are done mostly in white with a creative interpretation of the different days--ie the eight ladies dancing are in a music box. Children and adults will be delighted by this lovely and creative book.

3.0 out of 5 stars The 12 Days of Fail - 12 lords do not leap...
Anybody else have an edition that from 8 maids a milking the whole book is wrong? Mine has 9 drummers drumming instead of ladies dancing, etc. Good book. Beautiful. I would like my kids to know the actual words however.

This book is so fun. Mr Sabuda's work is just wonderful. I am now collecting his books. I love the last page where things light up. But it is the paper engineering that I find so wonderful. It makes me want to try it myself on a much lower level.

I've wanted this book for years, but thought my children were too young to take care of it. I got it this year for my 4 & 8 yr. old. Reading this book together will be a part of our goodnight routine now through Christmas. They love the pop ups! And the anniversary edition's last page includes a battery-lit Christmas tree pop up. My little boy (who's scared of the dark) waits by the light switch so he can turn out all the lights and shut the door to see the tree light up. This is a beautiful book!

The song is inaccurate. I bought this because this is my favorite Christmas song and was wowed by the art work, yet disappointed that the song was botched! Twelve drummers drumming, Eleven Pipers Piping, Ten Lords a Leaping, and Nine Ladies Dancing were all mixed up in this edition. Very disappointing.

These guys are amazing, if you're a grownup and haven't seen one of these guys' popup books you are in for a treat. The Christmas books make great coffee table books during the Holiday season.

The pop-ups in this book are truly amazingly done and wowed the adults at Christmas. It was ordered for a 3 yr. old grand daughter who needed careful supervision with it.
