I am a woman with a size 8 shoe. I understood that 8-9 was also available for women. The boots I got were ENORMOUS. I needed them to protect me from chigger bites, which are a tremendous nuisance where I live. I would have returned them, but it was just too much trouble. They do NOT stand alone, as pictured in the ad. I can cope with them, as long as I fasten the tops to my pant legs with rubber bands, and am VERY careful that I do not trip over the 4 to 5 inches that extend over my toes! Hopefully, they will help to protect me.Mrs. Mildred Burns (age 79 )

Although not yest used as of this writing, they look fine for light use. In my situation, as a motorcycle rider, they are purely for emergency use with being casught in the rain.
