It is a great gift idea for all the Bush-haters. Funny and well written, it was a hillarious stocking stuffer for my boyfriend.

1.0 out of 5 stars WASTE OF TIME
This book is great for Dims! Now write a book about morons like "corpseman" Obama, Pelosi, Reid, oh yeah Barney Frank and to top it off a book of Bidenisms!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick....buy this book!, January 12, 2009
This review is from: The 12-Step Bush Recovery Program: A Lifesaving Guide to Shaking Off the Horrors of the Last Eight Years, with Practical Advice on Relapse, Remission, and Recounts (Paperback)
The Bush years are just about to end, and this book.....a great way to look at this administration's pitiful conduct... is a must read. There's something here for everyone! I particularly enjoyed the Bush jokes which take up the middle chapters but it also serves as a reminder of how many people (well, all of us really) and how many things Bush has hurt.

It's amazing that there are so many wonderful contributions to help us rid ourselves of these ghastly eight years. Just as you nod your head in agreement in each chapter a little voice says, "wait...there's more!"
These delightful 120 pages should be read by anyone who has suffered this fool un-gladly but awaits the promise of hope for better things to come.

I didn't think I had any laughter left in regards to our president, but Mr. Stone has filled his book with not only keen and accurate insights but also relentless humor. I received this book as a gift and after reading it quickly ordered the author's other Bush book, and his Cheney book as well. I'm hopeful for an Obama victory, though I admit that if McCain were to win, I'd at least look forward to Mr. Stone's future books on that comical ticket. I highly recommend this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Stone Delivers Humor and Hope Every Step of the Way, November 16, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The 12-Step Bush Recovery Program: A Lifesaving Guide to Shaking Off the Horrors of the Last Eight Years, with Practical Advice on Relapse, Remission, and Recounts (Paperback)
It is hard to laugh when you look at what has happened to this country over the past eight years. But Mr. Stone manages to make you admit the sad truth of those years, laugh at the more ridiculous events in them and believe that better times are possible. It is a fun read--and a book we should review periodically to strengthen our commitment to the changes that need to be made.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bush, Stoned., October 21, 2008
This review is from: The 12-Step Bush Recovery Program: A Lifesaving Guide to Shaking Off the Horrors of the Last Eight Years, with Practical Advice on Relapse, Remission, and Recounts (Paperback)
Mr. Stone has once again created an effective palliative for times of executive distress. The 12-Step Bush Recovery Program is indispensable for survival in these dark times. He examines the current state of affairs with ironic detachment and simultaneously presents hard facts and possible solutions. In less than 150 pages he sums up 8 years of regression and points the way to recovery and redemption. As difficult as it may be for many to delve further into this rapidly closing period the information presented is well worth further exposure.

5.0 out of 5 stars the perfect hostess gift for election night, October 21, 2008
This review is from: The 12-Step Bush Recovery Program: A Lifesaving Guide to Shaking Off the Horrors of the Last Eight Years, with Practical Advice on Relapse, Remission, and Recounts (Paperback)
Once again Gene Stone has hit the perfect note at the end of completely imperfect administration. This book is hilarious and clever and a delightful finale to his earlier works on roughly the same topic. Hopefully we'll need no more on this cold bumbling bunch of idiots. That said, on election night, pick up a copy and take it with you to that return watching party. Hand it to your hostess, read a few chapters and chuckle. And then sit very quietly in front of the tv and pray.

This review is from: The 12-Step Bush Recovery Program: A Lifesaving Guide to Shaking Off the Horrors of the Last Eight Years, with Practical Advice on Relapse, Remission, and Recounts (Paperback)
Now that the Bush Era is finally nearing its end, I realize I needed some help getting through it. This book is riotously funny and possesses a dashing wit. It's a must-read for anybody who has suffered under the horrible reign of GW Bush, which I guess is pretty much everybody.

5.0 out of 5 stars Haha, brilliant!, October 21, 2008
This review is from: The 12-Step Bush Recovery Program: A Lifesaving Guide to Shaking Off the Horrors of the Last Eight Years, with Practical Advice on Relapse, Remission, and Recounts (Paperback)
I am tempted to write a long review but I will tailor this to the book and keep it short and witty:

The 12 Step Guide is hilarious, the perfect read when wishing away the final few weeks of the Bush presidency. My nationality prevents me from voting but, if I could, I may well put an "x" in the Republican box to ensure the flow of similarly brilliant satire.

Alas, I fear Obama may bring prosperity to all Americans except the humour writers.

Thoroughly recommended.
