I bought this unsure of what to expect. This is a engineering scale in METRIC. Note the metric thing, it is all based on a meter, and is not practical in the United States (for the most part). If you want a metric engineering scale then this is the one for your, nice quality aluminum with easy to read numbers.
I wish the description was more... descriptive.

Don't buy this scale. It is extremely cheap, the numbers and markings smear off when you touch them. Look for a better metric scale somewhere else.

worthless to those of us in the U.S. amazon's description should read METRIC Engineering rule not what does. Makes a great paper weight/straight edge for me now :OP

Product arrived as described with english units. However as other reviews have indicated writting is printed on the scale and rubs off easily. Now I have scale looking paper weight. wouldnt recommend to others
