It does it's job admirably!

Made from very thin metal powered coated black, the screen is very thin, my screen has a rip in it across 5 strands.

The screw holes seem to have been punched through the frame with hot nails. They erupt like little jagged volcanoes from the surface, standing at lest 4 mm high. This means ridiculously long screws would be needed to mount the filters.

The actual woven screen bubbles out of the frame, and if you try to mount it flush against a surface (say, the side of your case?) it's popped back the other way running right into fan blades.

I wouldn't have paid 50 cents for these screens if I'd been able to see them clearly before purchase. Now, I'm stuck with crap it's not worth my time and effort to return, just another sucker.

These are actually screens, and provide very little filtering if any, I am placing some cut to fit black prefilter medium under these screens to filter out dust and small particulate that would not be caught by them at all. Some reduction in air flow, but at least it is keeping the damaging dust from getting inside my case.. I would not buy these again..

It blocks out large particles well, but doesn't really block much dust. Maybe it's just because my fans are so powerful that it pulls all the dust through. It works really well as a finger guard and blocks out hair and whatever big things might end up going through the fans, but it decreases the airflow greatly, which are all things I expected.

It is the one in the picture. I would had liked for it to have a better build quality, it seemed like it was going to break just when bending it a little. Also the sides are not straight

The filter is basically a piece of aluminium with four holes (which do not work for set screws), so if you can buy other product more expensive but also more complete, you do it.

Pros: It fit my antec 300 side fan just fine and is already doing its job captureing dust

Cons: Didn't come with longer Fan Screws to make up for the thickness of the Filter. lucky I managed to find a couple so its only mounted from corner to corner, not all 4 holes.

I was getting tired of having to clean my pc every month, so I bought this filter for my 120mm side fan and it really works, it gives good airflow and holds the dust back. I really recommend this product for anyone who doesnt like to clean his pc very often.

I built a computer earlier this year, with one of the desired traits being as much active case ventilation as possible. This included one case fan at the bottom of the case, acting as an intake fan. (This is one of a total of six case fans, three of them intake at the bottom and three of them exhaust at the top.) The case (Cooler Master Elite 430) has two vents on the bottom. The one furthest back is used by the power supply (Thermaltake Toughpower XT), which has a bottom-facing cooling fan for itself. This power supply is a little too long to allow a 120mm fan in the next vent toward the front, even though the vent is 120mm. I ended up using an 80mm fan salvaged from an old computer. The arrangement of ventilation and mounting holes on the vent allows several sizes of fans including 120mm and 80mm. Mounting the smaller fan was no problem, but the challenge was then to minimize the amount of cat hair and dust that this fan would pull in from the desktop the computer sits on. (The case feet allow about 3/8-in clearance from desktop to bottom of case.) I had to use an odd method to mount this aluminum mesh filter to the holes meant for a 120mm fan. On the side nearest the power supply, I had to carefully weave and tie some wire to hold the filter tightly to the case vent. On the side furthest from the power supply, I used two sets of brass machine screws and hexagonal nuts. I then used label-maker tape to seal the case-vent holes nearest the edges. This arrangement is not perfect, but it does keep most of the dust and hair from getting sucked into the case through this vent.
