I have an NZXT case and they fit perfectly.

Considering that the fan and the Phantom are both manufactured by NZXT, I must say I was expecting as much.

Pros: This fan is very quiet while moving a lot of air.

I bought this for a friend's budget build, it was the cheapest of all the 120mm fans that included Prime Shipping.(which i love btw)

Quality/Value: Well for 7 dollars and free shipping if you got prime or the super saver, its amazing. Great packaging, necessary screws, sleeved 3 pin and comes with a 4 pin molex connector. Rifle bearing fans mean that they wont degrade as fast as the cheaper but quieter sleeve bearing fans; the 2 YEAR WARRANTY is evidence of that quality. These fans were even cheaper than sleeve bearing fans, and cheaper than newegg for me because amazon does not charge taxes to California, something that might be overlooked when comparing prices.

Looks: It's black screws and sleeved 3 pin help it blend and makes it very attractive. Sadly, if you choose to use connect with directly to the Power Supply Unit then you will deal with bear wires from the 4 pin molex to 3 pin connector. Look fall more on personal taste and build color scheme but I personally love the white fins.

Noise: This one is tricky; if your sensitive, I suggest a fan controller or volt suppressor. The fans are not terribly loud but are defiantly noticeable if your looking for it. As an example; me and my friend were talking about the build as i was installing windows about 5 feet away from the computer with it completely closed. As it turned off we both stopped talking in shock from how loud we had been speaking and the volume of the fans. I personally don't mind, especially at this price point but its something to keep in mind.

Performance: The aiflow was better then the stock coolermaster case fans and i could feel the air several inches away.

Well, what can I say? It's a 140 MM fan, fits perfectly in front fan slot on the NZXT Phantom and fully compatible with the Phantom's fan controller. Considering that the fan and the Phantom are both manufactured by NZXT, I must say I was expecting as much. Mine is set up as an intake (or "pull" for you techies) fan on the front fan slot of my Phantom. Appears to be working well in terms of airflow, but its obviously not going to pull in HUGE amounts of air. The noise was pretty much unnoticable. I run all of my Phantom's case fans at ~80% when I'm not doing anything hardcore, and the system was whisper quiet at these settings both before and after installing the 140 MM fan (for the record, I had nothing in that slot beforehand, so my comparison is to ambient noise and not the noise of another fan). All in all, great product.

I bought this fan 10 months ago to put in my new NZXT case for extra air flow. The original NZXT case fans that came with the case are still going strong, but this extra one started failing at around 8 months in and then failed completely with a nice burning smell to signal its demise. If not for the early death, I would have given this fan 4 stars, but I'm disappointed with the short life of this fan.

I'm hoping the one I ordered came from a bad batch and will give this fan one more chance to prove itself.

UPDATE: March 21/2012 - I ordered 2 more of these in the hope that the previous fan that failed was from a bad batch. I replaced the bad fan with one of the 2 new identical fans that I received three weeks ago and unfortunately in less than 2 weeks the new one has started to sound like a lawnmower is running on startup, though the noise goes away after a few minutes of running. And as I originally mentioned, the original case fans are still running great.

UPDATE: December 2012 - The 3rd fan has been running well for about 9 months now, hopefully it will last more than a year. I'll update again after a year has passed.

UPDATE: June 2013 - The 3rd fan is still going without issue. While this is good for me, if you order this fan be aware that the one you get may have a short life span. If you can afford it, I would suggest ordering an additional fan in case what happened to me(and other reviewers) happens to you.

It is quiet, built well enough, but really doesn't move a lot of air. It is ok for my case as the top fan out a five fan design, I use it for one of my two exhaust fans, one on the top(this one) and one on the back on top which is a monster blowing air out like a window fan when at full speed. so the two of them together move all the air I need moved and keep my air cooled HTPC/network server running between 29c and 41c with a stock cooler on my cpu...

I bought this and a 140 model to fill some spots in my Hades Case. Unfortunately, this one was warped pretty bad. You can't really tell by looking at it, but the blades were clipping against one side. You can see the gouge marks. Was hoping that it would wear away and stop eventually, but the material is quality enough to not wear down. Kind of funny in a good way. This is my only issue with a nzxt product ever so I'll give it up to bad luck.

I bought a pair of these for the top of a m/59 case by NZXT. They are more quiet than my 'tan fans' which cost $25 each. They do have a lower rpm than some fans, which helps with noise abatement. Air moved is constant, and vibration (what causes most case noise) is at a reasonable minimum. These come with 18" leads with 3 pin connectors for direct use on a mobo or can use molex 4 pin pass thru adapters (and 4 mounting screws) which are all included. As with most all fans, the open side is intake, with exhaust being on the motor mounted side. Hope they work as well for you, good luck.

I had to get a few more to build a new project box, with Asrock 970Xtreme4. These work wonderfully with the thermal sensors on the board. This function should be manditory for sound pollution as well as power savings.
Virtually no electrical or vibration sound, just moving air with occasional ramp up for short time during gaming session. Get you some, and prepare to be amazed.
