5.0 out of 5 stars FIRR-Kids! Review, November 11, 2008
Would you love to do artistic projects with your child, but are not a terribly creative person? Do you find it challenging to come up with ideas on your own that are both age appropriate and fun? This is the ideal book for you (and me)! Intended for children aged four to seven, this will help little ones understand the creative process by employing different art techniques.

A print is made by pressing a painted item down to make a copy. Seven print techniques are explained clearly and succinctly, accompanied by specific projects. The materials used are all basic household items or inexpensive craft supplies. Using nature as the theme, the activities are interesting and appealing. Dip kitchen sponges in paint to create a crazy caterpillar. Create an art farm block print using a foam tray and a paint roller.

Easy to follow step-by-step directions along with illustrative photos make these art projects enjoyable for everyone. The process is fun, the results are attractive, and kids will achieve a sense of accomplishment. We loved making the prints while learning the art terms, and it really is as easy as 1 2 3!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very creative book, August 12, 2008
This review is from: 123 I Can Make Prints! (Starting Art) (Paperback)
Even as adult, I love the creativity and simpliness of the book. My 15 month daughter loves to watch me do the prints for her, and she loves to participate in the process. She's a bit too young for this, but I'm sure she will love it later on.
