i've gotta agree with the other reviewer regarding this cd.
i borrowed this disc from the columbus, ohio public library when i lived there in the 80's. i kept it for almost a year. i finally gave it up but not before i made a cassette of the music. musically it falls somewhere between the stray cats in it's twanginess and the replacements and the fleshtones in their ability to rock hard. it came out originally on the same label as that "blood and roses" group. i can't think of their name right now. my mind. where is my mind? anyway this is an awesome recording and deserves to be heard. i didn't think i would ever find another cd of this music. i'd better order it now before somebody reads both of these reviews and buys all the copies.

This band has an awesome, blues-tinged roots rock sound. They should have been as well-regarded as the Blasters, the Del Fuegos and other good-time roots bands of the era, but for some reason, they never caught on quite as well. Too bad. "Black Water" is my favorite cut. I put it on mix tapes all the time, and everyone asks me, "Who are those guys?" I always tell them to buy "13 Ghosts" and find out.
