This is our second review. In the first, we stated that we were happy with the product in terms of ease of installation (absolutely the easiest option when illumination of a piece of art is required) and light quality (is soft, pleasant, but strong) BUT dissatisfied with one of the light bulbs, which went out in less than 24 hours and proved to be expensive and arduous to replace. Since then, the company contacted us with an apology and offer to send replacements or refund. Thus, we would now like to express overall contentment with our purchase and customer service experience. We didn't expect anything to come out of our review and it made all the difference in the world that our complaint was immediately and fairly addressed. And, once more, we found the product to be extremely convenient to install, reasonable priced, and functional, especially in comparison to other picture light options, which we investigated ad nauseum.

Like a couple of the previous reviewers, I have had a very hard time with the bulbs burning out. I purchased two of these last spring and almost immediately, the bulbs started to burn out. To Pegasus' credit, they have sent me a replacement fixture one one occasion and sent me replacement bulbs on another. In less than a year, I have had to replace every single bulb more than once. After hours of researching, I am still unable to find replacement bulbs, even in Westinghouse's catalog. So, although the fixtures look good, I cannot recommend this to anyone.

I ordered this light and turned it on once to see the quality of the light. When I started to install it on the painting about two weeks later, one bulb went out. When I started to open it to get the bulb specs for replacement, the other one went out and now neither work. Keep in mind, this has never actually been ON.. . !. . just tested. and, of course, it can't be returned because it is shipped in low-life clam shell plastic packaging that is long gone.. . Thanks, Pegasus, but, no thanks.

This is a lovely fixture, but only illuminates about the top 4 inches of my painting. I got it thinking halogen would be bright, and the fixture is large, but it puts out less light than my old standard fixtures. So far, the shipping was fast, we will see how the return process goes.
