I realize this was through A-1 appliance, but Amazon has them on their website, so I blame them as much as A-1. The bulb arrived in a box packed with magazine pages for "padding." There was no receipt, no packing slip etc.., so when i opened the box and realized they sent me the wrong item, I didn't know how to return it, or even a receipt to check what they sent. pay a few extra bucks and get it from a reputable company. A-1 is a good steak sauce, but they are an awful part supplier

Well at least it didn't do its job for long! I am having real difficulty finding the genuine GE light bulbs that will do on my GE microwave 'spacemaker' because that bulb blew out very quickly, it hardly lasted a month! I believe I need to buy directly from Sears as they seem to be the only one carying the genuine bulbs that will last on this particular model. Anyway the price was good but not the bulb! These are not the genuine GE bulbs! So good luck finding yours!

I bought 4 of these bulbs, delivery was good but, the first week one blew out. I have not replaced it because I'm afraid it will blow again. Lets see what happens to the rest

Good brightness. But would have preferred a two brightness as the original bulbs.
Other than that , completly satisfied.

The bulbs do not work and there is no information on where to send them back.

These lamps/bulbs used in appliance with slaming doors ,like microwave and range hoods ,never last long,wether bonefide GE or others ,due to the filament mechanical shock damage when it 'feels' the door closing over several days/weeks.
The answer may be possibly adapting the unit to LED of some sort.

Ordered 2 bulbs and both bulbs worked great for about a 2 weeks. One bulb burned out with in 2 weeks. The vendor replaced the bulb not question asked. Next time I will order 25W bulbs the 40W bulbs get very hot when used as a night light with our microwave.

As others have mentioned, this is not a genuine GE part as the description would have you believe. It is much cheaper though so I took the risk, it does work however is much, much dimmer than the OEM bulb on the other side.

I will keep it, but I kind of wish I had just bought the OEM part.

I have only had these bulbs for a few weeks and one of them is dimming already. Also they were advertised as GE Brand and they are not.

This light bulb has changed my life. Prior to "bulbly" I was miserable - but now life has meaning and I feel like a young girl again (I am a 43 year old male). We go EVERYWHERE together with bulby lighting the way! He is so energetic, bright and everyone and everything else is just dim by comparison.
