5.0 out of 5 stars Can't stop playing this game!!
My family loves this game. Try to get out of the house before midnight. Beware of the falling armour or the steel piggy bank that slides down a chute. Move your characters or the other player's characters. Each time you set a character on a trap you draw a card. Cards can trigger traps, move characters to new rooms, or help you make an escape for the front door...

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok for Under 12
This game was an OK game. I bought it so my 10 year old could have a game to play with the rest of the family. He thought it was fun but the rest of the family were bored with it. The one rule that allows you to go into the same space more than once on a turn causes the game to be less exciting than if that were not allowed. Over all, I would say this is an average...

My family loves this game. Try to get out of the house before midnight. Beware of the falling armour or the steel piggy bank that slides down a chute. Move your characters or the other player's characters. Each time you set a character on a trap you draw a card. Cards can trigger traps, move characters to new rooms, or help you make an escape for the front door. When a character is out of the game, their money bags go to the next character on the will board. My 9 year old son loves to play this game. The game is so thorough, the instructions are even in color. A must buy for this Christmas!!

I got the original game, 13 Dead End Drive, when it first came out. I liked the setup of the original game a little more, but this version was fun too. The same traps are included, but it seems that 3 more characters are added, as there were only 12 in the original. Pieces may be easy to loose.

we used to have this game years ago and lost it. we decided to buy it again because it was the most fun game we had ever had. take the 10 years and up seriously...younger players will have a hard time understanding the rules and how to strategize to win. my 20 and 21 year old sons and their friends LOVE this game and also my 14 year old daughter. the only negative is it initially takes a long time to set up. we leave it set up all the time. overall, this is a very fun and entertaining board game.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1313 Dead End Drive!, June 19, 2004

I first played this game with some of my close friends, when I was 13 (coincedence) and soon I was soo Addicted (in a good way) that I couldnt put it down. I loved the game so much, that about a week later I bought it for myself and my sister. The quality of the game cards, well, were basic cards, which of course got bent soon, but the quality of the little plastic figures were great! Such as the suit of armor that would fall over. Those figures got stepped on many times (oops) but they never broke, or were bent! Also, what I think I loved most about the game is that you have to think of ways to move around the board to avoid the traps. I would reccomend this game to anyone wanting a board game with something extra!

We bought this game for our 9 year old daughter. She loves playing it with her friends. Her friends bought it after they played it at our house. It takes a little bit to set up the first time playing but now it's pretty easy to assemble. I would recommend this game for ages 8 and above.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Family Game, August 2, 2004

1313 Dead End Drive is one of those games that seem very simplistic at first, but end up having a good amount of strategy. Being able to move all the characters, not just the ones you "own", is an interesting mechanic, and the cards you can play on your turn add strategy and unpredictability to a game otherwise controlled by dice movement. The dynamic of trying to get characters into traps (encouraged because this is the way you gain gameplay cards to use as well as knocking off opponent characters), getting your characters out of the mansion, and otherwise keeping your opponents inside the mansion if not outright knocked off, keeps the game interesting and entertaining throughout. The "feel" of the game is fun and it provides an almost "goofy noir" atmosphere best played by candlelight around the dinner table! I highly recommend this funny and unique game.

This game is pretty fun. Most of the pieces for the game are made of card board. After a while the pieces start to get bent. And it gets harder to setup the game. And in the game it is very easy to nock the background thing and make to fall, it gets sort of annoying. This game pretty much has no educational value. All you do is walk around and kill people and try to get out of the house with a lot of money.

My family and I (my two brothers, my mother, and I--all over the age of 30) really enjoy playing board games. Especially around the Holidays. So I picked this one up for Christmas when it was on sale. We've only played it once so far, but had a great time with it. My younger brother actually asked to borrow it to play with his 30-something friends! It doesn't have any obvious educational value, but does get you to think strategy--do you get your heirs out early and hope everyone else gets trapped inside the mansion, or do you worry about "knocking off" the other players. The board does take a little bit of set-up time, but I'm use to that. (My job on Christmas morning has always been assembling toys and applying stickers, so....) Once you know where everything goes, it doesn't take long to set-up. I realize the "walls" could get a little worn over time, but if you're careful with set-up, there shouldn't be any problems. And I just love all the little traps, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars 1313 Dead End Drive: A Review, October 2, 2003

This game is really fun but you can get tired of it soon. I have played it about 10 times and I'm not tired of it yet. It just dependsa on what makes you bored. If you like a GOOD mystery, this game isn't what you are looking for though. It really has no MYSTERY to it. It is just traveling the house trying not to get out. I give this game about 2 1/2 stars for the amount of mystery. 4 stars for the fun because, like I said, you can get tired of it really soon. 3 stars for durability because a lot of the peices are made out of cardboard and the ends will split really easily. 2 stars for educational value because the only thing that it really teaches you is to be a good sport.
